Separate "Show compass" from "Always show map controls"
It is 2024-04-03 now. Some time ago the "Show compass" option disappeared from "Settings" / "Map display" / "Quick access". Now the compass is shown on the map only when "Always show map controls" is enabled. The old behavior was better. The new behavior adds unnecessary clutter.
My goal is to see an information. I have no intention on controlling the map while driving, so map controls are useless for me.
Please restore old behavior.

Scrolling at CarPlay map
When I put first letters of destination address, and want to choose right route, keyboard is enlarged and the space between keyboard block and field for typing is very small.

Show which side of the street the location is on when you turn onto it
I would love for Waze to show which side of the street the location is on when you turn onto the final street. This would be especially helpful when there are two lanes to the road and you need to know which lane to be in.

Option to increase the size of the speed limit
It would be really useful to be able to increase the size of the speed limit sign as this is consistently the hardest part to read when driving.n

Color Change for Accident Blips
You need to change the color of the Accident blips. They are the most important issue with regards to traffic jams or serious congestion, yet you let them blend into the background by making them gray. Please change them to a brighter color. As they are now, you are basically hiding them.

More police icons
I would like to see a feature where when a police is located you can have an option to say if it’s an RBT or mobile speed camera ect… have an option to say what police are there instead of just a police icon.

Good imagery quality for Prioritised by Date
The current image quality from additional imagery> prioritised by date is very poor and pixelized. Currently, not all areas have the latest imagery, and to view the latest imagery in detail, many times you need to rely on Google Earth Pro. So please provide same imagery quality as Google Earth Pro.

PLEASE FIX ASAP -> Fix the pointing arrow facing the wrong direction
When I get in my car the arrow just flips to the opposite direction and shows that route.
It will be better if the app can allow to calibrate so that the arrow can face in the direction I am looking at. I am keep on frequently getting this problem and this needs to be fixed. I have looked up on the suggestion box and someone has also mentioned this in 2020 and no-one has fixed this issue
Please fix this problem. This way all drivers are able to navigate safely to their destination.

Larger Choice buttons
I use your app a lot of time as a passenger but when I use it as a driver I find myself not being able to press the choice buttons.... "Not there" and "Still there" The buttons seem to be on the small side. Could a setting be added in the settings for LARGE buttons? Maybe buttons the size of a postage stamp.... as tall as they are wide now. It would really help us people with big hands.

Return the colors back to the original map editor colors. Off-road/dirt road now appears as thin gray instead of brown. This makes it diffic

This makes it difficult to use when intentionally off-roading and causes normal drivers to accidentally end up offroading.Hence all the Waze meme and jokes not to use Waze in traffic. The colors were perfectly fine before

STOP sign icons at roads with stop signs 🛑
Stop sign icons at roads with stop signs. I often switch to Google maps while in the city because a lot of roads in my city will have no stop signs for 3-4 cross streets, then bam a stop sign. A lot of stop signs are obacured also. The city doesn't keep up with keeping them visible.

Please keep the Ecto
Please keep the Ecto in the car icons this time around, even if Danny’s voice directions have to go away because of licensing agreements.
I’ve been a user almost since day 1 and have always loved the special promotional additions you all have made, but I drive an Ecto (as do many here in the USA and elsewhere) and was sad when it was dropped from the app last time around. I would really like to see it continue on the app this time.
