Alert And/Or Settings/Navigation Option for Low Bridges
Low bridges (rail and road) are an issue throughout Westchester County, NY and over-height trucks frequently strike these bridges. Apparently on S Main (Rt 1) in Port Chester, Metro North is reporting a low bridge as an object in the road (for several months).
The problem here is, I would never consider a bridge as an 'object in road'. Rather, this alert distracts from looking at the low bridge warning signs. Drivers would pay attention to a permanent alert of a low bridge for this and other sites. Or for navigation by over-height vehicles, adding an option in settings/navigation to…67 votes -
Stop voice
When I stop the navigation int middle of the voice navigation prompt can the voice stop speaking also? This is what happens on Google Maps.
When I stop the on screen navigation I don't want to hear the voice continue.Please add this.

אשמח אם תוכלו להוסיף באחד מהגרסאות הקרובות את הפיצר הבא:
בהתאם למסלול הניווט שנבחר, תתנו רשימה של כל סוגי כבישי האגרה ותתנו אפשרות לבחור באיזה כבישי אגרה הנהג רוצה לנסוע ובאיזה כבישי אגרה הוא לא רוצה.
הדבר נובע בגלל שיש לדוגמא את כביש 6 וכביש 6 צפון, השילוט בכבישים לא ממש ברור והרבה נהגים לא מכירים שיש הפרדה בחברות והרבה לא מנויים לכביש 6 צפון ולא תמיד מקבלים בדואר את התשלום והנושא מגיע לעיכול החשבון.
כלומר מה שאני מבקש שלא יהיה הכל או כלום בכבישי האגרה (פונקציה "המנע מכבישי אגרה") אלא אפשר לבחור מה כן ומה לא.…

Why do I have to press Go three times. It should only take 1 click. If I want to go in the future then I should have another button to select. This is Very annoying

Waze Learn the Area mode
Learn your way around a new town with Waze.
When entering your selection Waze would give you a step by step guide to the route that the user tries to memorise.
The user then drives the route and learns their way around their new surroundings. As they approach junctions and turns they can confirm via voice that they are taking the correct route, and Waze will confirm or correct.
Using this mode can help people learn new surroundings or be used by new drivers.2 votes -
A “go for a drive” feature
A feature that gives you somewhere to go when you just want to go for a drive. Although I like driving anywhere, sometimes it would be nice to have a set route to explore. Directions would be through roads with the least traffic and the most scenic or enjoyable to drive on. Users would be able to set the drive length in time or kilometres. Maybe include a community section for user contributions of interesting roads. There should also be a variety so the user would not get bored of going the same place every time. something like calimoto

Roundabout direction clarity
It is really not possible to “turn left” at a roundabout please go back to what you were doing before the recent change!!
It is perhaps reasonable in the UK or Australia but there it would be “exit left” onto “Xx St/Rd”
In North America, instructions to “use the #X exit to exit right onto Xx St/Rd” is more clear.
I understand that most North Americans are not used to turning circles/roundabouts but they are becoming more and more common and there are not always only 4 directions to turn.

Support different left and right street names on segments
Quite often, roads follow the boundary of cities, regions or even countries. This usually means that one side of the street has a different name and house numbers than the other side.
Waze currently allows one primary street name and alternative names, but that doesn't solve this issue as house numbers are assigned to the primary street and when you search for the street set as an alternative name, you incorrectly get redirected to the primary name.
At the moment, we work around this by assigning the street with the most house numbers as primary street name and add residential…

Don't display next turn on the app screen too soon
On a recent drive, I was exiting along a long cloverleaf exit ramp from a major highway onto a major roadway. As I entered the loop, the display changed to show the next turn. I realize that it said "in 5.4 miles", but the popup of the next turn grabs one's attention and was very confusing to see while I was on the exit loop.
Perhaps delaying the Next Turn message until I entered the segment of the road along the new roadway would have been better.
I can provide specifics about this case including a screenshot of the app…

Minimum time buffer for changing routes
Please, please build in a minimum time 'buffer' under which Waze would not change the selected route. For example, if I put 10 minutes in the buffer, any route change which would save less than 10 mins.would not be made.
