Allow color themes for the night mode
While we can swap between various colors themes in the day mode, this is not available in the night mode. Unfortunately, the colors displayed on my mobile are not offering an easy navigation, as the difference in color between roads and the way to follow is hard to distinguish.

Categorizing Favorites
With my Garmin, I can quickly look at my favorites list relative to my current location. ADVANTAGE: I'm hungry.....it tells me where my favorite restaurants and coffee shops are and how close. Makes it easy to return there when i'm in the area.
UPGRADE: Ability to share your favorites list with a friend, so that they can choose a place and navigate there as well!

Redbox locations...
Redbox is a popular DVD Rental machine, something many people look for during their drives. Redbox allows for pickup and dropoff at any machine, making knowing their locations very helpful to drivers.

loose the top and bottum bar and option button when driving
when you are driving, loose the top an bottum bar and the option button. top bar will return if you have to do something (a turn within 5 km or something like that) and the bottum bar and option button will return if you tab the screen.

Number of issues
We took a road trip from Columbus OH to Sarasota Fla. We used both a Samsung Galaxy/Android and an iPhone7. On both phones, the apps would crash if we put the entire route in. We had to pick an arbitrary mid point. It also crashed if we stopped for a few minutes and then resumed driving, ie rest stop pull over to stretch.
During very heavy rain at the beginning of the trip, we got hazard notifications that said 'Caution: Desert Ahead.' Unlikely in central Ohio.

Call or text a friend before pickup
a feature that lets you mark contacts as friends you're picking up, maybe save their addresses.
and 5 minutes before reaching the destination to pick up the friend
Send an auto text saying something like "hey it's waze, name will pick up you up in 5 minutes, (s)he's driving a black toyota"
And by 2 minutes before, suggest to call that friend, or auto call to let him/her know that you're out, waiting.
All of this planned when starting off the navigation, and without touching the phone.2 votes -

fee
Partial charge rides for extremely late cancellations. If the driver is en route, a cancellation could cost 1/10th the fee. If the driver has arrived and is waiting, the charge might be 1/4th the expected fee.
This would go to discourage flaky riders, and encourage drivers who go out of their way to carpool.

Waze a data v zahraničí
Dobry den, chci se zeptat zda muzu jet do Chorvatska s Waze s ti!m, ze mi to bude celou dobu brat data stejne jako v ČR. V o2 mi to potvrdili, ale doporučili mi abych se obratil i na Waze, jestli on to ma taky tak. Dekuji

a start from option
Most of us know anywhere from 10-90% of our route. It would be nice to be able to have a "start from this area" option.

Panic button
I recently came across an app called Panic Me. It would be nice if something like that can be integrated into Waze so if we have an emergency or need help one press if a button would email or text selected contacts with our exact location.

Report markers should be marked when the user presses the report button, not the send button.
Whenever I drive on windy freeways, or freeways with frequent blind spots, I don't see reportable items (police, vehicles on shoulder, etc) until the moment I pass them. Given the typical delay of entering the data into Waze, the markers end up being 500 to 1000 plus feet away from the actual item being reported.
