Check in after navigation
It would be great if the app asked if it got you there correctly and if there were any difficulties in the suggested route. Things like closed roads, detours or difficult turns are hard to report.

App shouldn't close simply because I turn off the screen
This not an idea, it's a complaint.
I enter a route and it maps out.
Seconds after I turn off the screen, the app CLOSES.
This issue started last week.
I seriously do not need the screen on the entire drive. What happened?1 vote -
An Instant Mute Button on the Screen
When I press the Waze speaker icon on the radio navigation screen when using Android Auto a list of options pops up. One of them is to turn the sound off. I would like just a simple mute button on the nav screen that instantly toggles the Waze audio off/on if I'm trying to listen to a news update and Waze is giving me detailed directions at the same time without having to select it from a list and taking my eyes off the road for an extended period.

Leave the overview map on the screen until I change it.
In Google Maps, when I get to the Overview Screen, it stays on the screen and slowly zooms in until I get to my destination. In Waze, the Overview Screen only stays for a few seconds, then reverts to the basic navigation screen. Please make Waze more like Maps and let me keep the Overview Screen on the display until I change it!

Android Auto - Arrange Display based on left or right hand drive and Icon Size and Speed
To save the person stretching to the other side of the screen to click an icon. If you have to stretch to reach it may impact your driving direction, and how long you need to look at the screen for.
For me the Reporting something panel appears on the non-driver side.
Adapt the screen so that icons you click on are always on the drivers side.
When half screen mode, you can not report anything anyway, so consider also making, bigger icons and going through two panels may also be better.

Screen orientation lock + bigger buttons in motorcycle mode!
Need Waze to add a screen orientation lock option in the map settings. This has been suggested for years in the community feedback chat, and has been ignored. It is now a safety issue when riding a motorcycle. Because of my bike's design, I can only mount the phone horizontally. Even when activating auto-rotate in my phone's settings, Waze will switch to vertical after tilting or when the screen goes off. Trying to use and see the map vertically while riding is dangerous, distracting, and wildly irritating when I hit the wrong button. I have nearly gotten into an accident…

Throughout NYC's 5 boroughs, school zone speed cameras are enforced 24/7. They automatically send you a ticket if you go 11 mph over the speed limit. I usually don't speed, but 36mph in a 25 is very easy to do. It would be EXTREMELY helpful to have a "School Zone" category/alert from Waze.

Fix screen cluttering on devices with 16:9 screens
New versions of Waze is not suitable for older phones without modern screen proportions 19.5:9 - map area is only 1/3 of total height, 2/3 of screen area is cluttered with various information. Plz add option for older phones with 16:9 screens.

Mach E - battery percentage charge recommendation
I recently purchased a new Ford Mach-E. I’ma little disappointed in the Waze app vs Apple Maps. First let me say I HATE APPLE MAPS. They are not user friendly, doesnt report police, potholes, or anything useful. However with my Mach-E Apple Maps knows the battery percentage on my car and will automatically add a charging stop to my road trip if needed. If Waze does this I cannot figure it out. Assign $ value per minute when evaluating route options with tolls
When evaluating routes, it would be nice to be able to enter a user-defined monetary value per minute (I.e., how much someone values their time in $/min). I'm often presented with a suggested route which costs $20 in tolls but only saves me a few minutes. If I could assign a dollar per minute value, it could automatically propose the most economical route for me based on time and money. This could be improved even further by assigning a cost per km (e.g., user-defined based on fuel consumption, or company reimbursement costs per km) when evaluating routes with different distances.
