Android Auto alerts highly intrusive, even dangerous
[On a knob-controlled UI]
Popups like “Police ahead”, and “vehicle on shoulder ahead” can be very intrusive. They seem to appear much earlier than before and there is no way to simply dismiss it without confirming or negating the alert. I would suggest that hitting the “Back” button should dismiss the alert.Responding to the alert is way too involved. When I get an alert, the “Still there” button is highlighted, however it is not the selected control. Usually, the Search button is. Police car (camera hotspots) or patrol car hotspots
I know people generally tend to post where police cars are, but this can sometimes be inaccurate due to them moving around (highway patrol and police camera vehicles). Maybe a highlight on the map where reports are generally made frequently

Including the allowed speed in the vocal warning for speed camera's or trajectory control woud be a great feature.
Also a bigger actual speed and allowed speed indicator, one at the left and the other one at the right bottom of the screen woud increase usability.

Rest area icons and an Altimeter
I use Waze literally every time I get in my vehicle. For both local driving and road trips. It would be awesome to have an altimeter on the screen and to have it show rest areas on the map. Maybe in map editing if we could add rest areas and other places with restrooms to the maps that would be great and a major help for travelers.

"Categories" issue in app / AA
Tapping the Where to? search field brings up another Where to? search filed, under which it shows the "Saved" "Gas" etc. menu. This menu of "Categories" is badly organized/sequenced: seems to me that during a drive the most important order of locations would be "Gas" "Parking" perhaps "EV Charging" and "Hotels", followed by Food Drive-thru Coffee Groceries Medical care Pharmacies, and finally Shopping and Parks. The fact that in Android Auto only the first of those categories show compounds the problem. Suggestion: have a more logical sequence and show all of them in AA, and/or let the user arrange them…

יצירת אפשרות זריזה (מעט לחיצות) לשמירת המיקום הנוכחי לזמן מוגבל למשל יום, שלאחריו ימחק. כך כשחונים אפשר בקלות לנווט חזרה אל המכונית במקום לחפש את כתובת החנייה ולרשום אותה.
לפעמים אין חנייה בצמוד למקום היעד ולכן אי אפשר פשוט לחפש אותו פעם נוספת

Not an idea but no other category worked
Waze sends you to the wrong location when you type in 901 E State Highway 114, Grapevine, TX, 76051. 901 is the address of Park Place Lexus in Grapevine. The location it sends you to is the Cedar Ridge Office Park at 950 E State Highway 114, Southlake, TX, 76092, about 5 miles further west. In trying to figure out why, I noticed that both Redfin and Zillow mistakenly list Cedar Ridge OP as being at 901. Google has the address correct. My service advisor at Lexus said that the customers who have ended up at the wrong address have…

Neighborhood mode
It would be nice to be able to set a radius around your home location to mute voice directions. Users already know how to get out of their neighborhood so voice instructions are not needed. The radius could be adjusted based on the user’s knowledge of their neighborhood.

Speed in School Zone is 30 km
If the App gives a warning of school zone coming up in 50 meters, it will be very helpful for the driver to slow down well in advance. In the school zone, if someone is speeding the map should show a bigger warning & may be talk to the driver about cameras giving tickets.

More police icons
I would like to see a feature where when a police is located you can have an option to say if it’s an RBT or mobile speed camera ect… have an option to say what police are there instead of just a police icon.

Improve the way that traffic reporting works in cities
Avid Urban waze users like myself often find that our traffic reports will only cover a tiny segment of road, often only 100 or 200 ft. It seems this behavior has something to do with the way that the roads are segmented. There have been many times that I will be in traffic on an urban road in Chicago, report the traffic to help the community, and see that my report barely extends in front of and behind the icon of my vehicle. I'll either spam traffic reports every couple hundred feet while I'm in traffic to cover more length…

Carpool/HOV lane detection
Give us the option to comletely disable Carpool/HOV lane detection.
For two years now the app keeps telling me to leave the carpool lane every 1 to 2 miles, even when I am not in the carpool lane. Please give us an option to completely disable the lane detection so I can enter or exit it whenever I want to.2 votes -
