Tagging the lane of an accident
It would be nice for users to have the ability to tag what lane(s) an accident is in when they report an accident. Often users add this information in comments, but that takes time and becomes hazardous to look through as you're driving.

x Prediction Feature
A prediction feature. Example: Around 9:00 every Friday in the past 2 months traffic has been stopped on a stretch of road. Waze could put out an alert that says "Based on the past month's traffic use this route could be slow" even if no one has reported. Especially helpfully for being aware of authorities who tend to monitor traffic in the same locations.

Safe Area
It would be great if Waze gave some kind of general warning for areas that are no go areas due to crime. Sadly South Africa has too many of these areas. I am a South African and use Waze daily. Its also dangerous for tourists. You can literally within 2 roads find yourself in a very dangerous and dark area that is full of crime.

Tweeks on your max speed alerts
Two comments on your speed limit alert. 1st, the sound alert is barely audible and not continous while still speeding. 2nd, when I slowed down after exeeding the speed limit, then I speed up again, I get no audio alert that I exeeded the speed limit again. 3rd, maybe you can add an option as to when I will get notified of speeding. Like maybe before I reach a percentage of the max speed I can get notified already. Thanks and more power to you guys.

Route away from schools at pickup & dropoff time
We've been noticing an increasing amount of Waze traffic near our local elementary school. It is dangerous for the kids who are biking to school (and not yet as reliable as adults) -- we have had three kids hit by cars in our small city so far this year. And I'm sure it is annoying for drivers -- we've seen a lot of folks swerving around slow cars etc.
I would love to be able to tell Waze the pickup and dropoff windows for our school, and have it automatically route away from the school (and ideally nearby streets).
Maybe…

Please let us have the option to turn off THANK YOU notifications
Please, please remove the constantly nagging. "Thanks" from the notifications. You're making it hard to want to use the app to report anything and turning being thanked into a punishment.

Upgrade
You need to follow Google's maps lead and upgrade waze so it can calculate the distance between two points from a location to a destination and you need to do it yesterday. I can't believe nobody there has thought of this. You are lagging waze. Get with the competition.

The new narration
Hello waze team, good morning.
We know that the crisis awakens creativity in the mind of those who feel trapped and having debts to pay. I was on my way to the inner city of piracicaba in SP, accompanied by a friend who directed the waze-oriented application. It was then that I noticed how much the voice that narrated the path bothered me, a formal and feminine voice that left made the route not comfortable. From this I had the idea to improve the application by creating more voice options that fit the profile of each user: versions of praise…1 vote -

A button to flag a bad intersection or left turn; Waze can then remember and avoid it next time.

To put Poi files in ov2 format in Waze
In my work we have ov2 files with thousands useful poi for everyday work and we use tomtom which is not as good as wazeMettre des fichiers Poi au format ov2 dans Waze

highway wrong direction car alert
it could be useful to add an alert to inform other wazers that a car is driving in wrong direction (very useful for the Highways). The alert will blink to any wazer smartphone display that is driving that way before the alert point.
This feature could permit alerted drivers to mantain the right lane till the end of the emergency.8 votes -

Il serait logique qu'en France toutes les explications ci dessus soient en français Merci
Par référence aux feux tricolores il serait logique que l'avertissement ecrit concernant les zones de " danger "soit orange ou rouge en entrant dans la zone et VERT en sortant Merci et Bravo

מציע לכלול באפליקציה בנוסף לכפתור הכתום של בחירת הדיווחים גם מספר כפתורים אשר המשתמש בוחר את כמותם ואת תפקיד של כל כפתור קיצור וכך לקצר באופן משמעותי את הזמן של שליחת דיווח
למשל אני שולח לרוב דיווחים על "רכב עומד בצורה מסוכנת בצידי הכביש" אז בשביל לשלוח דיווח זה אני צריך לעבור כמה מהלכים , אם מוסיפים קיצור של דיווח זה רק בשתי לחיצות אפשר לעשות את זה גם ( דיווח ואישור דיווח על מנת לא לשלוח בלחיצה בטעות על הקיצור)2 votes
