1. Alert: Excessive traffic deceleration.

   Irrespective of cause, unusually great deceleration of one vehicle is a hazard for the vehicles behind - at least on highways with average speed above that of city traffic.
   Real-time alerts from the Waze system via our community of users may offer a unique opportunity to prevent (or reduce injuries and damage of) highway mass crashes.

   Various alerting criteria may be used e.g:
   Client accelerometers (or GPS-speed time derivatives) indicating a deceleration greater than, say, the 80th percentile for that road (segment) or average speed level - established by Waze server statistics.

3. Waze is reminds of the most common hazards

   Hi everyone! I would like to Waze the most used reports remains "top" for example, I use a lot "car stopped on the low side," although it will Waze detects and leaves in the foreground, to avoid have too many unnecessary to manipulation. (Sorry it's a google traduction, I'm french)

   Hello team Waze !

   My naame is Yuri Shargaev, I live in Netanya, Israel.

   Knowing all the reasons why my letter to you can remain unanswered,
   I yet approach you with an offer. The thing is, that I have an Idea,
   but what I do not have is time nor resources to realize this idea for it is a big and complex project, especially for one person.
   (And I do not have any experince in this field of work. But as far as I know, this said idea deserves very close attention and I am looking for ways to realize it.)

   This said idea is a "collection of existing technologies which have never been collected in this way, or any similiar way."
   Besides technological point of view, said idea is based on psycological and sociological behavior patterns of the avarage "internet consumer", or in other words - "the avarage joe".
   What the idea does, basically is, it makes commecials and marketing over the internet a lot simpler, a lot more effective and most importantly - reliable to the consumer.
   In the right hands, this idea will be a very strong competitor to Facebook and will have many strong points that Facebook does not have.

    enlarge font on street names. give all street names, ALWAYS give name of street you are currently on. when making a turn, have a quick illustration as slow illustrations lead to problems especially when the street names in that area are not given.

12. Please fix bug and improve the App.

    Dear Sirs,
    I am a user of "Waze" application more than 2 years ago and very satisfied of it.. and that's why I wrote a 5 star feedback to "Google Play"..
    Also I'm ranked in 29th position of my Country (Greece) with name "AnastasiosII"..
    Last 2 weeks the Application appears a bug and can't connect to device's GPS (!!).. so it uses network's approximately position..
    If you're wondering if my phone's GPS works properly the answer is YES and it's tested on "Google Navigator".. and "Sygic" normally..
    Appreciating all your great work I would like make you some suggestions that I think it will improve further the "Waze"..
    1. There's no option to correct or to remove a wrong notification.. Sometimes a situation on the road can change instantly.. so a notification on map can be wrong or useless..
    So I think it should be very effective for the users can edit at anytime (probably after 2 different edits or from high ranked users)..
    2. When you Pave a new road or path.. it's nessesary to be online in network otherwise it doesn't work.. but in sometimes it's impossible.. Mobile Networks are not stabile and they have not coverage everywhere..
    I think any correction can be stored mainly on the phone and then it can uploaded when network it's available..
    and
    3. In older versions the "Traffic notification" (and others) had an option for the otherside of the road the problem was.. but in last versions you have removed.. so now we can't warn the other side users..
    I wish my notifications will help you improve your products and all the Community..

    BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) — Drivers using some of the major interstates and highways in Northeast Wisconsin will now notice a new alert on message boards warning them when there’s a wrong-way driver.

    It is one of the scariest moments drivers could face — heading down the highway or interstate at 70 miles an hour and headlights come straight at you.

    Brown County Sheriff’s Patrol Captain Dan Sandberg says it’s all too common and often ends with someone injured or killed, as happened on I-41 in southern Brown County in August.

    “It’s almost a weekly occurrence that we have somebody wrong way on the highway. Just recently, again last week, had another wrong way driver on (Interstate) 43,” says Sandberg.

    So when he saw a story we aired recently about message boards in Milwaukee County alerting people about wrong way drivers, he set to work to make it possible here.

    A few phone calls and one meeting later, the new alert system was activated last Thursday.

    Four days later, it was already put to use for an elderly driver going the wrong way on I-43.

    “It could take the officers, depending on where they are, anywhere from a couple minutes to five minutes to 10 minutes to get in that area, and that’s extra time we can warn whoever’s driving on that highway,” says Sandberg.

    “And that way people can be paying attention to it, because if you’ve got two vehicles at speeds of 70-75 miles an hour towards each other, you don’t have much time to react.”
    Here’s what happens: The 911 call comes into the Brown County Communications Center. Deputies are dispatched, and immediately dispatchers then call the State Traffic Operations Center in Milwaukee, which controls DOT message boards and cameras.

    With the punch of a few buttons, an alert reading “wrong way driver reported: use caution” will appear on message boards on the roads where the driver was last seen.

    “If you see a sign come up, what you need to do is start paying attention to every car that’s coming in the opposite direction of you to ensure that vehicle is actually on the correct side of the roadway,” advises Sandberg.

    He says most wrong way drivers are in the left lane, thinking they’re on a two lane road, so if you see one, stay to the right and call 911.

    Sandberg says, currently, alerts can broadcast on message boards on Highways 172 and 29 and Interstates 43 and 41, where he says the majority of wrong way drivers are reported.

    But this is not just happening in Brown County. Sandberg says the Department of Transportation is working to expand the system to Outagamie and Winnebago Counties, too.

15. Push notification regarding traffic on your regular routes

    I would like to receive push notifications at predefined times, for instance every morning at 8:00, regarding traffic on my usual route to work as I don't turn on waze for driving routes I know at regular times. Waze could notify me of an accident and display the name of the alternative route, that way I don't even have to open the app.

16. Faster nightmode detection

    I have an Android car stereo with Waze.
    When I turn on ignition, Android boots up and Waze starts.

    It seems that Waze needs GPS as well as network access to detect night mode. As after bootup, GPS and network needs a while (1 or 2 minutes), Waze starts in day mode even in the night.

    Please, do not addict night mode detection to GPS and network, and look at the local clock. Possibly use last known position and the current time.

    With Waze's full brightness of day mode it dazzles - driving so is really dangerous.

17. More speed limit values

    More options for reporting the speed limits. Currently only shows speeds ending in 5 (25 35 45 etc) but needs to display speeds ending in 0 as well (20 25 30 35 40 45 etc).
