Driving to catch a flight
Imagine you are off on holiday. Perhaps hiring a car to drive to your destination after catching a flight. You could put your ultimate destination in to Waze and the airport / flight you are going to take.
Waze could keep you up to date on your departure while you're driving to the airport. (and advise on a departure time from your origin). It can update your friends of your progress.
It could keep your ETA up to date with your friends by cross-referencing the flight information and expected arrival time. (It could probably show your approx location based on…

Recover connection after loss of signal
When I'm on the road and the cellphone loses signal, Waze goes off line and tries to reconnect. But when my cellphone gets signal again, Waze doesn't reconnect unless I close it and restart it or sometimes I even have to restart the phone! Then it gets network connection again, but I lose all the way I have traveled.

Translation of place types to brazilian portuguese
It bothers me very much the fact that "GYM / FITNESS" was translated as "GINÁSIO / ACADEMIA" in brazilian portuguese language of the Waze application. It is absurdly wrong translated. It is like one had translated "GINÁSIO / ACADEMIA" as "SPORT ARENA / GYM".
Waze's resources (including Wiki) translation to brazilian portuguese, in general, is very poor.

Urgent hint to improve waze fast and easy and get many new users!
How? Speed camera alert (warning) is one of the best and attractive reasons to use waze especially for new users, that have already integrated or portable navigation systems. Mobile (!) Speed traps (cameras, but also radar guns etc.) are the traps, users have the most fear of. But most existing users of waze, who wants to report a mobile (!) speed trap mix up the confusing camera icon with the police (officer) icon, especially in the german version, where the camera icon is named "Blitzer" (means: "flash"). Also, don't allow a single user to remove a police icon. It's too easy for the police to click "not there" themselves on a dummy account and it disappears.

Crossing major intersections
Los Angeles - When crossing major streets such as Sunset Blvd, Wilshire Blvd or La Cienega Blvd, please guide us to an intersection protected by a traffic signal. While the smaller streets are great for avoiding traffic, once we reach a major thoroughfare, we simply can't get across without a green light! Thanks, Waze!

Larger Comment Box for Android
Its hard to backtrack or proofread the previous lines that have been typed when you can only practically see one line. Would be better if its like FB messenger where 3 whole lines can be seen at the same time.

Moving map position
A suggestion for the moving map display: would be nice to have the position of your own icon weighted towards the edge of the map where you have been. This would show more of the route you are yet to travel.

International Land Border Wait Time
I would like to suggest that Waze capture wait times at land border ports of entry into the US in the Canadian and Mexico border with automated geofencing. There are millions of people who come in a day into the US and would be a great market for people who come shop in the US.

Off-road Trail Map Capability, the road less traveled.
There are a couple of very expensive off-road trail GPS devices for State and non OHV areas but I would love to see WAZE get into at least BLM/OHV and Fire road type of mapping.
Way points and even names of the trails. I live in California where there is many trails that the state regulates along with adopted programs from off road clubs. I'd buy an upgraded app for my WAZE if this was an option.

Allow default sharing of route to android share rather than internal sharing mechanism
Currently sharing is done to an alphabetical user list from my contacts. This is of course kind of silly since most of us use waze for navigation but not as a means of communication. I would like to see the old sharing back as default (share via other app), or even better - remember which app i used last to share and offer it as default. In the past 4 years I have shared my ride not via whatsapp only once, and that was into facebook chat.

Add Shazam to the Waze app
I love to use the Waze.app while I'm driving and especially on long road trips. But I find myself switching to Shazam whenever I hear a song on the radio that I want to identify and it can be difficult to switch back and forth between apps while driving on the highway. Can you add the ability to Shazam a song within the Waze.app and show the song title and artist on the map and if I click on it go to the Shazam app?
