Add option to search either for nearby options OR for options on route
When you're making a trip and realize you're low on gas, it's nice to add a stop at a nearby gas station. However, waze just lists stations on your route (or only stations nearby when using android auto for some reason). The user should have control over whether the search is for nearby options, or options on-route.

Gas report moderation
Shop owners and trolls often report inaccurate gas prices. It seems innocent until you find a 20 minute old report that weirdly underreports the price of gas by 20 cents, and find them at a number of nearby stations while you try to figure out if you've spent more gas driving to different ststions than you could save by finding at least one correct one.
There should be a mechanism to either moderate this, or simply add a mechanism of photo verification at the pump with a confirm/deny for the next person who gets there.3 votes -
There is an "avoid freeways" option, however no "freeway promiscuous" option (or a simple slider bar).
Some people prefer to avoid highways, however I (and presumably others) prefer them (even congested ones). There ought to be fine positive and negative control (a slider bar?) over this metric, I often find Waze taking me through intersections etc rather than simply entering the highway.

Add option to disable "pan backwards to reveal upcoming turns"
Waze pans the camera backwards to reveal upcoming turns and path, which I find annoying and disorienting. It just needs a simple on/off switch so people can opt out.

Safety
I’m a dedicated Waze user and truly appreciate how the app helps me avoid traffic, accidents, and delays. However, I’ve noticed that it sometimes routes me through areas that are unsafe — which is especially concerning when I’m driving alone as a woman. In truth, safety on the road is a priority for everyone. Waze could be even more powerful if it included a feature that allowed users to flag potentially unsafe areas and create “avoid zones” for routing. This would not only protect drivers but also build greater trust and loyalty among users.

Opposite speed camera reporting and differentiate between front and rear facing speed cameras
Suggestion 1:
Sometimes, when driving, there is a police officer with a camera on the opposite side of the road. However, the app doesn’t have an option to report a “camera on the opposite side,” so we are forced to mark it as “police on the opposite side.” It would be helpful to have a specific option for reporting such cases.Suggestion 2:
Speed cameras generally fall into two categories: those that measure speed from the front of the vehicle and those that measure it from the rear. It would be great if Waze could distinguish between these two types…2 votes -
Flight tracking, with update on when to leave based on flight data
as a limo driver/owner operator a Livery business. It would be great to track flights on the Waze app and get notification to leave based on flight data. In addition, the ability to input flights for different “accounts“ e.g. I have 15 corporate accounts, and would like to input flights under those categories so that way It’s aggregated based on which company or client the job/flight is for.

Il serait judicieux que soit ajouté à Waze des annonces vocales lors de changement de limitation de vitesse sur les voies express ou grands axes routiers ( passage de 110 à 90 par exemple) car trop souvent les panneaux sont masqués à cause du trafic et il est très facile de se faire prendre par un radar mobile ou aux jumelles. Speed Cameras in Cities
Would be amazing to get warnings about where speed cameras are located, specifically in San Francisco and other California cities where they have recently added speed cameras within the city. Thanks! Waze 4 life

Put road length restrictions on Waze so overlength trucks will hopefully take an alternate route.
Can you put truck length restrictions on Waze so if an overlength trucker is using your app and is tempted to use a road with a length restriction they will hopefully take an alternate route?

Please make speedometer and speed sign in left top corner aplication for android auto , and 2 time !!! bigger! That functions most important for waze , compared with google map! Thanks

Zoom out when you are at a traffic light to turn
I like to see an improved zoom out of the map when you are at a traffic light to turn left or right.
Now you only see on the navigation map just a few meters ahead.
I want to see a bit more what's coming up next after the turn.The big advantage of Waze is to see the directions far ahead, but only not when you standing still and need to make a 90 degrees turn after a traffic light.
This is for me my biggest feature request and part which need to be improved in the (Android) app.

Os balões com nomes das vias atrapalham muito nas conversões. Ficam na frente da Seta e muitos vezes entregamos em curvas erradas por conta disso, e os alertas ocupam muito espaço no display do aparelho.

Autobahn Fahrtrichtung dauerhaft angezeigt bekommen
Wenn man auf der Autobahn unterwegs ist, wäre es sehr hilfreich, wenn im blauen Kasten am unteren Bildschirmrand nicht nur die Autobahnnummer, sondern auch die aktuelle Fahrtrichtung angezeigt würde, zum Beispiel „A1 > Hamburg“. Diese zusätzliche Information würde nicht nur die Orientierung während der Fahrt verbessern, sondern könnte im Fall einer Panne oder eines Unfalls auch dabei helfen, den genauen Standort schneller und einfacher zu bestimmen. Da auf den Kilometermarkierungen entlang der Autobahn keine Fahrtrichtung angegeben ist, wäre eine solche Anzeige in Waze eine wertvolle Ergänzung, um in Notsituationen präziser Auskunft geben zu können.

SPLIT: notify drivers of heavy traffic ahead of time and offer alternative routes
Another suggestion would be when the app sees there is heavy traffic well before and notifies the driver of different routes available due to the accident or whatever may be holding up traffic.
