Waze directed me to make a left turn across a major hiway without a traffic signal when there was one nearby that could have been used.

Yeah--there is the setting "“Avoid difficult intersections” option is available in Navigation settings. Should ease the issue if not eliminate it."
I live in the DC Metro area w some of the crappiest commuting in the nation. We have to wait anyway. I would rather wait in a place where I will not also get T-boned by some numb-skull going 60 mph on the reverse rush hour side. My B-I-Ls brother died from this very thing. So, just say if it isn't pragmatically possible instead of blowing people off.

IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE - Please do not suggest routes that require left hand turns onto busy streets without signal control. Why has this not been fixed already. Waze sends you past the Claremont exit from 24 to the Broadway exit, through a neighborhood with narrow winding streets by an elementary school and forces a left hand turn onto Tunnel Road - INSANE! Also traffic back-up at the intersection is ridiculous! This has been going on for over a year! I ask my ride share drivers not to use Waze now.

Please save lives and provide the option to avoid left turns. All of them whenever possible. Model after UPS. Not just avoid "difficult" left turns. Give us the option to avoid ALL left turns. PLEASE. There is no doubt you will save lives. PLEASE!

I had two trips lately where WAZE took me on a circuitous route thru neighborhoods, when with two-turns I would have avoided left turns onto busy main streets. Aaaarg!!

Can WAZE prefer in a junction without traffic-light, where there is a need to turn left, to actually turn right and then in the upcoming roundabout or traffic-light to make a U-turn?

I totally agree with you! Another good reason: the more we make only right hand turns, the less congestions are created.

This would Really speed up getting places and would reduce accidents. uPS implemented this and saw great results!

How about right hand turns only mode for a destination? Proven safer and saves gas too!!

Several times in traffic the application sends me down a route that turns out to not be faster, because the route requires me to turn left into heavy and fast moving traffic without the aid of a stop light. The application should allow people to note if they would prefer a longer route that allows them to only turn left with the aid of a traffic light.

As a person that needs to drive to multiple locations during the day for work I need navigation guidance that limits left turns or routes me to controlled intersections (stop light/sign) to make left turns. I am often in areas I do not know and get frustrated when Waze asks me to to make a left turn across multiple lanes in heavy traffic. Fast is important but safe is even more important.

Extra assurance against those pesky unprotected left turns.

and what about the fact that waze makes you make dead man lefts with no lights. its so annoying and I wanted to through it out the window last week. I hope they do something soon

I agree. The app frequently wants me to cut across a busy boulevard and suggests it will be faster. It does not account for the fact that the heavy traffic flow makes it impossible to cross. I then have to take an alternate unplanned route which means my commute can end up to be twice as long. There is no way to report the problem in the app so that it doesn't keep telling people to take this option. It also tells me to take left turns into heavy traffic to make an immediate right turn. It's extremely dangerous and typically impossible to do.

Allot of intersections have no left turn or right turn signs, but they often make exeption for certain types of vehicles such as Taxis and Buses. For example, this intersection

has a no right turn sign from southbound Senlac Rd. to Burnett Ave. But it makes an exeption for shool buses. I would like to see a "Class of Vehicle" setting so that Waze would allow us to take advantage of these exeptions if we're driving the appropriate type of vehicle.
