Speed Bumps
I will suggest the inclusion of speed reducers commonly used in Brazil, called "lombadas" or "quebra-molas" (speed bumps). These elements are rarely well signposted.
Are a ridge set in a road surface, for purposes to make drivers to reduce speed.
Hey,
We're happy to share that this idea is already live!
Thanks!

I think this is a great idea and with the significant increase in both speed bumps and potholes in the UK having the ability to avoid these in route options will add significantly to Waze. infact Waze could add the ability to capture the position and size of both speed bumps and potholes.

while the waze does not react on the problem, we have developed this app for Android - link for the app in store bit.ly/1RCLM3P

I want that the navigator can sign me about danger zones in the highway like curves, wind zones, heavy climbs and bumps. similar like it does Garmin with POIS or danger events.

A project I've seen started by smaller organisations - be it local councils etc.
This would use the gyro in the devce to log potholes or speed bumps above a certain threshold.
Councils (or Counties) would no doubt love the data to assign repairs; drivers could use this to highlight the condition of the roads, and these could even be flagged as "things to avoid", especially in the case of speed bumps.
A simply function, with the power and network of Waze - this could be amazing!

Measure phone vibration while driving using built in sensors and include road quality into routing alogorithm so it chooses smoother roads when possible (better surface, fewer speed bumps) - user from London

One suggestion : Waze could include in your app indication of spring break . Tb should stop adding those not flagged . In Brazil many speed bumps are asphalt color and without signaling hindering your viewing and avoiding future

Por que no Waze não podemos colocar os quebra-molas das ruas assim como é colocados os radares?

I would appreciate if the deep "dips" or the high "speed bumps" would be notified (this could be optional in the settings) in order not to damage my car when driving at the authorized speed limit.

There must be an option to alert rough roads. Actually there is the bump or hole option alert but when there are to many holes in the road this is insufficient and too dangerous.
Here in Uruguay are many roads that use to be pavement but because there aren´t repaired frecuently now are dreadful. Please, add another alert for this issue.

Poderia ter o alerta de lombadas...assim avisando como se fosse um radar

add alert of bad parts on the road or bumpers on the road. this data can be taken automatically by accelerometer of a mobile.

More than a warning, this will provide a map of the real streets conditions in a city, where people can claim for better conditions and/or complain by lessening the lifetime of the car to government agencies.

Just like there's an option to avoid toll roads, I'd love the option to avoid sections of road with speed bumps. While you're at it, might as well add functionality to avoid roads with potholes too.
