Other Side Reporting
You used to have "Other Side of Road" for reporting. It was AWESOME and I used to report vehicles on the other side on the shoulder, and appreciated getting the notification about that. It's only available with the Police now; please bring that back. Why did you take it away?
Thank you for your suggestion!
This suggestion will not be implemented for the time being. Adding more and more options to reporting, especially for less popular types of reports such as other side which will also require another window/card, is not something we are aiming for at the moment. Please be aware that other side reporting is already available by voice using the Google Assistant! We believe investing in voice can create essentially a better and more scalable experience and we hope to bring it to more languages soon.
Stay tuned for more features and updates on Waze’s social pages on Facebook and Instagram.

please search before posting another request that matches others on here.
there are many other request matching this one. Since the 4.x upgrade on iOS removing the ability to report events on the other side of the road, waze has become completely WORTHLESS. However, THEY ARE PUNISHING those of us who have NOT UPGRADED by not giving us our points for driving and reporting events even though other users can see them and thank us for them. Recently, before i downgraded back to 3.9.x, I was driving and noticed and accident and traffic completely stopped on the other side of the road. I was not able to alert other wazers to the situation because the option was removed from the new 4.x version. There were other wazers en route to that area but none there at the time so i was not able to help them because i was on the current 4.x version. Until it is restored, or they at lest restore our points, i'm staying on v3.9 so I can help other wazers (which used to be the purpose of this app) and will be getting my points through WME.

The "Other Side" button was very helpful when reporting all sorts of things. For instance, something falling off of a truck and landing in the road on a blind corner on the other side of the road... it would be helpful to be able to report this and possibly prevent a life altering accident from happening. Someone in the forums said they thought it was a numbers thing, not enough people used the feature and also suggested it could be a safety thing, meaning I should be paying attention to my side of the road and not noticing things on the "other side". A hazard , accident, animal or car stopped on the shoulder on the other side that can't be reported is at least as dangerous as noticing something in the road 100 yards away and reporting it. Please bring the feature back.

I drive on lots of two way roads, where a hazard like ice, or animals, or objects on road, can impact traffic in both directions. It would be nice to have the option "Both Sides" added to the "my side", "other side".

Completely agree. A car on shoulder in median (aka center divider) is often more dangerous than on on the side, but there's no way to alert people in the fast lane.

Hello, When entering an even, you have "My Side" and "Other Side" as options. Please add "Center Median" as an option. Why? Because when a cop is in the center median, he's not on my side, and he's not on the other side! He's right in the middle.

From reading the forums, it appears that selecting "other side" when reporting a wreck, speed trap, etc. on a divided highway does NOT give users traveling the opposite direction a warning; instead, it attaches the hazard to the segment on which you're traveling but it would only pop up for a user traveling the wrong way on that one way segment. Enabling this functionality would double the opportunities for timely reports, and make them possible in the case where something is causing a road to be closed and users traveling on the side of the road where the incident occurs can't physically get to the e.g. wreck. Also, a "both sides" option would be useful for something in the median, either a wreck requiring emergency vehicles to be on both sides of the road or a speed trap set up in a crossover (I've often seen these with two cars, parked door to door in opposite directions.)

you should be able to report accidents on the opposite side of the road waiting backups on the opposite side of the roadway
