Routes should default to Map View instead of List View
Upon setting a destination and clicking Routes, I would like the default view to be Maps instead of List. Please make this an option.
Great thinking! The issue you raised has been addressed in a recent redesign. Hope you like it!

Hello Ella, that would be great to have the same behavior when clicking 'routes' when already navigating to a destination. I use this frequently to see if another route would be faster

This is an obvious change. The text directions are largely useless for a mapping application. Why hasn't this happened yet!?

New user. Senseless option like defaulting to a useless list view makes for a negative initial experience and loss in confidence from the get go. I really want to give up google maps but you need to do a good job on core useability. Don't try to force behavior on me (carpooling, taking pics). Instead be the rare company that respects me and gives what I need, not what you want me to do.

Yes, map view should have a choice setting and should show events on route!

Agreed. I always want to see the map view but the default setting should be an option.

Agreed, I select map view virtually every time and would prefer it to be either the automatic default or a selectable option.

No setting needed really. The routes view should default to the last used view! Simple.

I agree, you could add a setting that would define the default view for when clicking routes, thank you!
