When not in navigation mode and just driving with the map open could we please see all road names or maybe the next upcoming road name at the top of the screen. My garmin does this but I would like to exclusively use Waze. And maybe at the bottom screen always show the road name that you are currently driving on.

Whether you have a route set or not, to show the street/road you are on, with street number or km, so you can know where you are going. Traditional applications of this type had this, they always showed you the street or road you were on. It is important, in case someone asks you where you are, in case you have been given a reference based on a street, to know the kilometer point you are at, ... It could be put, for example, next to "Type of vehicle" or instead of, because I really don't know the importance of the type of vehicle to always be there.

Incorrect. It only displays street name in navigation mode, it does not display it when not in navigation mode.

This is not part of the current reality. In Brazil, at least, there is no street name below the navigation icon.

That's NOT the case when using waze in Android Auto. Android Auto being increasingly the most popular means of using waze. Here we are years, and YEARS, AND YEARS later and this SIMPLE request has not been implemented.

Hi is it possible to have the street your travelling on displayed under the cursor. For example, if you put in address to navigate too, the street your travelling on is always displayed under the cursor or which ever symbol you have, but when navigation is not running, when there is no route selected, the street your travelling on only dislplays on the map every few hundred meters. Theres nothing more anoying then looking down to see what street your on and doesnt say. If possible could we have this feature activated.

This is a great idea. I recently noticed the difference when navigating compared to not navigating and not sure why this was omitted. 100% having the street name traveling on either when navigating or not navigating is a needed feature and very easy to implement since they already have it not when navigating.

Not true. Current street name only appears when being navigated. Not when you are just driving. It is really dumb that I don't know which street/road that I'm on. The info is there...just need to display it. Not sure it makes any different that I'm on Android Auto.

Display the current road/location of where you are at the bottom of the screen.

This could be helpful in case of emergencies or if you break down.

When you set a destination, the arrow at the bottom of the map will tell you the road you are on. But when your not navigating you dont always know the name of the road you are on. Can this be an always enabled feature ?

When not navigating the name of the next street could display at the top of the screen... e.g. passenger says turn right at...
Waze was automatically trying to route me back home when I was driving in the opposite direction, it kept rerouting me to turn at the next street and it was sooo easy to know if the street I was looking for was next. No more frantically looking for small street signs while driving at speed, then turning abruptly.

This would be an excellent idea, at the bottom when a route is not planned and i'm just driving with Waze running, it currently says "Car Info". This info does not need to be changed whilst driving and can be done within the options anyway. A better use for this space would be to always display the current street name allowing the driver to learn street names whilst going about normally day to day life.

This suggestion has been asked for often. Why is it so difficult to get rid of the greeting and just display the street/road name currently travelling on.

I understand that if you touch the arrow or icon of the vehicle you get the information but this goes away after a few seconds. Please fix this issue or at least advise you are attempting to fix it.

Sometimes I don’t want to put my specific destination in, but I’d like for Waze to tell me what road I am currently on like it does when I DO have a destination put in.
