Lane closure reports made easy
I'd like a report button that would indicate lane closures.
Could press to report the beginning of the lane closure, then press again to report the end.
Then you indicate whether it's the left, right, or center lane.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

In my area, there are a lot of roadworks that block only one side of the streets, often for days, weeks, or even months. They put barriers and signs blocking trafic in 1 direction only.
Now if I want to report it, the only way is "Road closure" but it blocks in both ways for navigation.
Could there be a way to report this only one way?
It would allow the navigation to use the street in the still open direction instead of taking big detours.Thanks.

I pass by the same construction zone every 45 minutes and my previous posting has expired. This is an all day construction zone with lane closures. I would post which lane was closed if I only had to do it once or twice a day.

I can currently only enter road closures for side street/intersections at the left or right of me. Not for the opposite direction of the road that I am on or a closure ahead if me.

I pass by closed streets & if I'm 1 street past I'm prevented from adding the closure. This makes this app somewhat useless if street closures can't be logged. Allow all streets and intersections in a wider radius around my location to be edited.

I would like to see the one-way streets and time restrictions in the client. Sometimes you're wondering if Waze is being weird or is avoiding a road because a one-way street and since a few days time restrictions.
Time restrictions could show a little clock on the side of the road, which you can press to show more info. One-way streets are simple - just a few arrows one way or the other.

Add ability to show which lane is closed for construction areas and accidents. Possibly on the map a right or left arrow can be posted to notify later drivers.

Often when there is road construction and/or maintenance, there are lane closures which impact the traffic pattern. It would be great if we could identify a hazard that reports a lane closure (which is separate from a road closure).

Need a single lane for construction option

It would be good if they put how long it would be closed for as well

Is there a way to report a closed freeway exit? There's a way to report a closed street but I can't seem to report a closed freeway exit.

I mean there should be a way to report a closed freeway exit.

other POI or reports would benefit from range parameter (carpool crossing lines, lane endings, icy road)

Road Construction is not a point on the map. Yet when you report it in the existing client, all you can do is set it as a point on the map.
Last time I checked, road contraction occurs over distances. From the client, I want the ability to select "Start Road Construction Area" and then drive over the duration where construction is occuring. I should then be able to "Stop Road Construction Area" and the entire distance which I drove will be 'highlighted' or pointed out that construction is over that entire road segment.

If you report an accident, you can only report small or big, that's pretty subjective. It would be nice to report how many lanes are closed, and off course we would need to say how many lanes there normally are in cartouce.
