"Location services" for waze to be on "while using" instead of "always"
In your next update pls could you change "location services" for waze to be on "while using" instead of "always" as it is draining the battery. Apple suggested this will be one big saving on battery life.

I had the same concern with Waze a while ago. Setting location access to “always” does feel unnecessary, especially when you’re not actively navigating. Switching it to “while using” usually works fine for most trips, though you might notice slight delays in live updates sometimes. But this already exists on iPhone. It's in location services, "only when used".
Please tag this suggestion as such.

I have mine set to while using and it still follows my location. Waste of my battery. I have to go and set itvto never follow me. Real pain

WTF?!
Cannot shut off "Location Services". I'm pretty sure your app does not need my location if I am not using it. I tried turning off in general tab but keeps using it. Killing my battery life. I now put Waze to sleep but what a MAJOR PAIN IN THE ASS!.
PLEASE FIX THIS NEWLY IMPLEMENTED BUG!

For all retards complaining about that, u just have to switch off in setting of waze (general), and when u will kill app in background it will kill also your gps system.

Do what so many others allow to preserve battery life - offer location services option for being on ONLY when app is in use.
OR explain why you don't offer it in a convincing fashion.
In the meantime I will reluctantly use google maps to preserve my battery

Please oh please. We beg you. It's common sense! Change location to only while using! It drives us all mad that we don't have the choice. It's a brilliant app ruined by this. Change it and it's pretty much perfect as can be. We will all thank you.

In the iOS 11 you will be able to select the "while using" option for every app. Developers won't be able to control this. Apple fixed it for us! :-)Also when any app will be using GPS in background you will get the blue bar no matter what is the location permission setting.
