Adding Roadside Animal detection system to Waze as a feature will help reduce animal roadkill problem.
Roadside Animal Detection (RADAR) systems – A computerized signs with flashing light stripped when an animal breaks a light beam . These can reduce collisions with large animals. These alerts and captured images can also be sent to different GPS apps like Waze, so that drivers coming by on that road can be alerted through their GPS apps and slow down when crossing that area.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

The only announcements I want for alerts are those that actually block my driving. Roadkill, car stopped on shoulder, etc., don't really help.
But I can't find a way to suppress those without also suppressing things like "police officer ahead", "traffic ahead", or "object in road" which I do want.

Deer and bears in our area (and a number of other areas in the U.S. and Canada) are more of a problem than any other hazard. How do we report this?
There'd be a lot more motorcyclists signing up just for this feature!

Animal sightings would be a wonderful feature for rescuers!

Waze needs an icon to report when deer are on the side of the road ready to jump in front of you and ruin your day.

I'm guessing you live in a fairly rural area. Living in Baltimore, Md, if I saw a cow on the side of 95 north I'd probably to confused to report it ;-)
But I did grow up in a farm town though and I have to agree it would have been nice back then.
