I agree with this suggestion. My thoughts were ( I think the same as the original poster). Below posted speed would be normal. I would then like to set a range (adjustable from 0 - 10 miles over) that would be green. Over that value would be red. That way we old guys don't need to try and see if we're only over by a few miles (I would set mine at about 5 over) because if the color is green, I'm good.

Either enable a multi color speed as noted in suggestions with user enabled trigger for red or change the "over speed" color to yellow or orange. Having color vision issues the dark red against the black box is virtually unreadable. Yellow would be better as is is light color against dark color. The contrast for those with diminished color vision can be critical.

Add a continuous and agressive sound, and maybe a red flashing screen when setted speed limit is crossed.

The circles for speed cameras should appear on the horizon get bigger while we are getting closer to the camera. Eventually They should be way bigger. Icons of active cameras should appear in orange. Currently it is easy to miss them. When getting close to the speed camera, having the speed over the limit the whole map/screen should be gently blinking through red color (the colors should get a reddish dominant).

Speed cam alert not sound clearly and shown in eye catching on the mobile screen, i would suggest that more shrill sound & bottom blink for more focusing for driver known, thks

This was an excellent suggestion. I love the concept.
Still, I do not understand (at all) why the speedometer changes color when I am exactly driving at speed limit. Say, the speed limit is 80 km/h, the speedometer should turn red when I reach 81, not 80.
I typically use the speedometer to help me drive at the right speed, but with the current behavior it shows up in an exactly identical way whether I'm driving at 80 or 81/85/90/150 km/h.
Please keep the normal speedometer color when I'm driving exactly at speed limit.

Very important. Use Waze on car dashboard screen (Subaru 2018 CrossTrek) using both my Android phone and wife's iPhone. Current display of speed limit and my speed is too small to read without taking eyes off the road way to long in order to focus - not safe. Would love to see a large, white background circle with posted speed limit in large black digits. Next to that a color coded circle as suggested above with current speed in large white digits. Would reduce to 3 colors - green if at or below speed limit, yellow if 1-9 miles above speed limit, red if 10+ miles above (or a settable boundary instead of 1-9). Can now see basic situation at a glance, and if need to read the actual speed limit, or my speed, digits are large enough to also read quickly.

as we all know there is a feature on waze that when you accelerate over the speed limit waze warns you by flashing up a big red speed limit sign over the speed you are doing for a few seconds but if you are near a speed camera those vital seconds matter as to what speed you are going… i feel you should always have the speed you are travelling on screen and that the warning of the speed you should not accede should be next to your current speed so you can see what you are currently doing and not get done by the speed camera …

Road color change to identify upcoming speed limit change. I use this app in my work van that is monitored by GPS & will alarm if speeding. It would be beneficial for me to know when a roads speed limit will be reduced via a defined color change on the road map.
I often drive 10MPH over the speed limit & when I travel 55mph in a 45 & then the posted speed limit changes to 35 I would then be going 20MPH over the speed limit. EMAIL TO MY BOSS

1. The single "ping" when approaching speed limit is insufficient, can we get 3 "pings" and make them say 80% volume (whatever user setting is)

2. Can we also have the speed image warning in traffic light colours - green (ok) yellow (approaching limit) red = speeding

Could the speedometer segments that are currently grey be changed to show green when under speed limit then amber as approaching speed limit? Grey is very difficult to see and colours would look better and provide clearer feedback

Have Speed indicator go from White to a Yellow-Green at speed limit - 1 and at Speed Limit before turning red above speed limit. Would make it easier to glance and adjust and monitor car's cruise control

I'm happy with the current color scheme, except I would like the numbers to show yellow when you are exactly at the speed limit. Black or below and red for above are fine. I don't really care for the user to find items I've seen in the suggestion box. I just want to know at a glance that I am at exactly the speed limit

The new speed camera alert is no bold enough. It appears at the bottom of the screen, with black background.
This alert should be bolder, maybe in red color or flashing.

I certainly do agree, I have a huge screen in my car, but the speed icon is really very small. Would be great to be able to adjust this.

Speedometer turns from green to red when the driver exceed the speed limit.

Screen is not in FoV when driving right hand drive. So audio and visual alerts should be amplified for alerts
