Allows the user to enable a map to see the current status of nearby traffic lights. Could either let the driver choose or choose a different way depends on the light's cycles. Could let you know you should slow down/keep speed the same before seeing it, could let you know the status if the light malfunctions/is right before the sun. Could, at advance levels, go the other way around and change the lights depending on the traffic.

I think it would be cool the show traffic lights on the waze map let me know if this is a good one!

Also add stop lights. I would love all three so I can see the route with less stops

Add warnings for stop signs on country roads where cross traffic does not stop.

Hey Waze, We see a lot of blown stop signs now days with increased distracted driving. Some causing serious injuries and death. Would it be possible to add stop signs and yields signs to navigation notifications?

Ability to push a button saying you can either go a certain direction (like straight/right/left) because the light is green that way vs the current direction it is routing you and you’ll have a red light for a few minutes.

Not super revolutionary but it’s a small thing that could be cool or neat

Every traffic light has an average number of cars that can go while the light is green. Be great to know this while sat at the lights. Can be user collected data. If I'm at the lights and I see a little circled 5, and I'm the 6th car, I'll know there's a chance I can make these lights!

Please give directions like a human, not a robot. If I am supposed to turn at the next stop sign, tell me that like a human would, not turn 500 feet ahead. If I am going to turn at the 2nd traffic light, tell me that, not turn 1,000 feet ahead.
Plus, I find that often i miss turns onto small side streets, expecting an intersection with a traffic light or stop sign. If Waze would identify turns at traffic lights and stop signs, then I would also know that the turn is at a regular street if not identified this way.
It would also be good for Waze to show the symbols for traffic lights and stop signs along the route if possible.
C'mon Waze. No big navigational changes in the last 5 years. Do this!

Waze tells me to turn right at Main Street in 900 feet. OK. But that isn't how I think. I don't really know how far 900 feet is while I'm driving.

I want to know if I need to turn right at the next traffic signal. If so, there will be a traffic signal icon that I can glance at and know. If there isn't a traffic light icon, I will know to keep looking at all the side streets looking for my turn.

Or if I need to turn right at the next stop sign, I can see a stop sign icon so I know not to worry until then. And if it isn't a signal or sign, maybe indicate that I need to turn right after the next three streets (and it will count down until I get there).

I think these simple icons will make my driving experience with Waze much easier. And this would help keep me focused on driving instead of looking for streets for the next 900 feet.

Indicating traffic control signals on the map would make navigating in a city Im not familiar with much less stressful!

In order to improve the reliability of ETA as expected by Waze, the ETA calculation should include the expected delays caused by traffic light. Next to increased reliability of ETA it improves the best routing

It would be very helpful to look ahead on the map and see which intersections have traffic lights and which don't

as can be seen in the report in the link below , the number one cause of accidents (at least in isreal) is missing traffic lights. in today's information overflow even while driving, from time to time people don't pay enough attention to the road and maymiss a red light!.
a situation that may cause a fatal accident - 20% of accidents with injuries in israel is due to that cause.

Could add to this. Traffic lights working incorrectly.

When a stop light takes more that two light cycles to clear Waze is currently still sending me through them. If the area is local and I know alternative routes I disregard Waze and bypass these lights. Waze should be doing this instead of me. Please up date the system to notice if cars are waiting at lights for more than 2 min. Indicating that it is necessary to wait more than a single cycle to clear the light and have the system redirect. Usually the light can be avoided before arriving at the light saving time and gas. As it is now I must first get to the problem light and than take an alternative route which wastes the time waiting for the light to change so I can move enough to take an alternative route.

Why do it? Waze collects times on segments.

Add traffic lights in route calculation! No body have. Each traffic light eats 30 - 50 sek. of road time.Faster route is less traffic lights. Even longer. I calculated route in 1million city by traffic lights and traffic light green road. Even in difference of 3-4 traffic lights I get faster to point of destination in 5-10 minutes by longer route of 3-5 km. Earlier I crossed city by Night on Waze offered faster and shortest route. I lost destination time of arrival with each traffic light 40 sek. Overall was 20 traffic lights. I stopped on all of them. On longer and faster route there would be 6 traffic lights. If you wish to be in Navigation offered time of arrival I should overtake speed limits.

This would be especially good if you could give a speed estimates (below & above my current speed) to time the light so I don't have to stop. My commute includes a 10 mile freeway followed by a single traffic light that should be able to be timed and Waze provide speeds on the freeway that would allow me not to have to stop at the traffic light.
