The purple street name indicators are a real annoyance. They could at least time out after say 10 seconds or so?

Can’t believe this post is from 2017. I just started using Waze again recently and the purple road bubble makes the app unusable when the street names are long. The purple call-out with road name is SO big you cannot even see the turn directions on the map

The big purple road names block the map at intersections and make it difficult to know if you are turning onto the correct street.

The purple road names are really annoying and makes it hard to see the map intersections especially on roundabouts etc. please put an option to remove road names !

I never need the street names but I definitely always need to see all details on intersections, roundabout, ...
I have often been annoyed by this bubble. Please give us the choice.

completely agree with all comments here - the option to turn off road names should be added. They are a complete pain and obscure the map/route directions, particularly when there are 2 small turns in succession.

These street names really annoy me. They hide the map exactly where I need to see it ! Please put an option so that they don't or remove them ! It's a real pain in the neck... How is it possible that the conceptors didn't realize this....

It is a shame - driving at lowish speed you cannot see turnings clearly - especially with Android Auto

Get rid of them, or at least turn them off. They often blot out roundabouts and other junctions.

Those stupid purple street names can cover the iphone screen. Worse, they often blink which is a huge dangerous distraction. I've complained many times but waze doesn't care.

Hi, I live in Sao Paulo and sometimes driving here, which has a very complex street network, the street name box (in purple) prevents you from seeing properly which path to take and sometimes you end up taking the wrong exit. Sometimes the street name box is exactly ahead of your car in the map, and over the path you have to take, specially when you have multiple street paths deriving from on single avenue.

Many time the purple route lines and the street/road names hides the reported events on the route.
Please simply put the events on the top. I've got tons of screenshots, and it's pretty anoying.
