Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

I use Waze almost all the time, love this app! I would like to suggest that people could add rain, heavy, light, lightning- thunderstorms, heavy winds... just some of the main weather features.. other than ice. In Florida we get rain spouts that can block your view, I like to look ahead of where I'm going to plan detours.. as a Trauma nurse accidents increase in crappy weather. Being able to scroll ahead to see what other wazers are reporting... could help with planning trips and detours. *** Could also be helpful to see which part of the coastline is having showers and storms for a perfect beach day*** HELP MY VOTE WAZERS!!!!!

This feature should exist for roads that are unplowed or icy, so drivers have the option to take an alternate route.

For every route suggested by waze, the program should display a forcast of strong winds, heavy rain, thunder storms, fluds, and any other special events that may affect driving decisions.
This can be extremely helpful in deciding if to make the ride, and which route to chose. -

Please have hazard warnings available for other weather events such as high winds, heavy snow fall, heavy rain.

Like any good idea, this has probably been suggested before; however, I'd like to see a snow/ice routing option.
Basically, this would heavily favour major roads (as being the most likely ploughed/sanded/salted). I'd also like to see it avoid significant changes in inclination (>10 degree hills).
I use Waze all the time, but recent snowfall in Vancouver forced me to ignore the routing suggested in order to avoid slippery hills and uncleared minor roads.

My Chrysler 300 doesn't do well in the well and I can't afford to just switch vehicles so making a "
Avoid steep
Hills" option would be great because it would prevent collisions -

Need to have degrees of fog (visibility fair to poor to nonexistent), Central Valley CA fog in some places can be so bad you can only see the front of your vehicle. I want to avoid those areas (heaviest near agricultural fields) and also have routes re-routed to avoid blind intersections and stop signs. Some mornings I have to roll down my windows to listen for on coming traffic visibility is so poor. It be nice to know if there's other routes with better visibility.

When using the app, I have found on many occasions that after placing a road report, there is something I want to change about that report such as location of the report ect.
It would be very beneficial to be able to "move" the road report around your area. This actually just happened to me where there was a very bad car accident at the end of my road, and I was unable to post about it before anyone got caught in the traffic, because I was at my house and not moving.
Another idea would be to allow us to remove our report, rather than waiting for it to run out, or if we post one in error. Accidents and traffic happen all the time, and the report will still show up after the accident or traffic has gone but the icon is still there. If removing the report is not an option, we should be able to m
ark on the report if it is no longer there or something of that sort.
A third idea would be adding more choices to the weather section. Right now there is just fog, hail, flood, or ice on road. It would be beneficial to include an option for snow, and include depth approximations, if salt trucks have come through or are in the process of cleaning, or even snow drifts. That would be so helpful during snow storms when you still go to work anyway and need to know if you should leave or not. -

It would be great to select a different route before getting caught in the traffic.

Is important to see in realntime the weather in the different roads options.

This idea will improve todays weather reports due to the calibration with many actual observations and will provide additional value for the user of the navigation app. A win win application!

It used to be when a hazard was on the road, it would tell you that there was fog, or a car on the side of the road or construction - to name a few. Now with the recent updates, it only states Hazard. You physically have to look down at your phone to see what the hazard is, which is clearly impossible when you are driving.
Can you please change it back so that it actually indicates what the hazard truly is? Otherwise this is of no value to me while driving.
Also helpful to be able to disable the cars on the side of the road. That happens WAY too often in major cities and at many times is irrelevant; I need true, true hazards to be notified. Thanks!

Weather warnings are often announced by county/parish and when you are traveling - you are not aware what county/parish you are in. I would suggest you add that to the map---- so you would know exactly how it affects you.
During Hurricane Matthew - watches & warnings would come over the radio (some tornado warnings as well with hurricane Herimene) and we would never know if we were in the effected area.
Thanks.
