Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Sun glare definitely should be a hazard. I’ve had many of close calls that could have been prevented had I known it was gonna be that bad ahead of time!

We used to have the functionality to be able to report weather conditions such as rain and snow. That is now gone. I do recommend especially Since it does not rain or snow very often to add this in again. Also I recommend adding a weather condition for Highwinds we have a lot of semi trucks at flip over in this area due to wind.

It would be good to have a feature in the « best time to leave » option that provides wazers with weather forecasts on the best time to leave

a function that reads out loud all upcoming cross roads while driving in the fog so you don't have to look at the map when you can barely see 20-30 ft in front of you on the road in front of you...
would have been helpful this morning...

One feature that would be a safety boost would be a weather layer over the map that shows bad weather or watches and warnings ahead.

I have been a long time user of Waze. My son also uses Waze. Last night he was stranded on 1-10 in Texas because of snow and ice. He was stranded for 10+ hours on I-10. Waze is a great app, but it needs to be pared up with a weather app to give weather conditions, warnings etc. Had this warning popped up on Waze, he could have avoided this situation. I know that drivers can report weather conditions inn Waze, but this is not the same as real time weather reports. Come on Waze this should not be hard to implement.

Hi,
Wondering why under the Hazards category under weather category there is no option to report a "side winds"?
Would be helpful to add this option. Thanks,

Inside of the weather report, you should add snow squall, or heavy snowfall so that drivers know where roads may loose visibility. Snow squall is not fog. You could also add low visibility.

Please remind drivers to turn on their low beams in fog, rain, and snow. I don’t need an alert that I’m driving through fog, but the majority of people drive without lights on in it, which makes it very dangerous.

Heavy rain hampers visibility, its better to let driver to have a heads up on the road condition ahead of them

When you map your route, give us the option to add weather forecast.

Ad a snow sign or a snow chain sign. It can replace the standard alert sign and make it clear in a glance.

Please, become even better and add weather! Waze would then be absolutely the best nav app!

I find myself jumping back and forth between the Waze app and my Radar app to see what the weather is an dhow it's going to affect travel. Some roads are most likely going to be closed due to the weather, heavy rains or snow. It would be helpful to have an overlay button to see the weather so the driver could be better informed of the drive before them.

Snow squalls should be added due to sudden extreme reduced visibility as well as strong winds. Ice should be an option as this causes many accidents throughout the northeast. Especially true for us truckers.

I would like to suggest the option to add on hazard report:
Heavy rain / thunderstorm.
It will help a lot os drivers. -

Many drivers here in the Atlanta Metro area use “fog” when they encounter heavy rain, would be best to call it what it is. Driver could then avoid or seek shelter. Thanks so much!
