Weather overlay
I would love to have a real time weather overlay on the WAZE maps. This would be a GREAT feature to add to aid in knowing more about driving conditions. Please vote and let's see what we can do to make it happen.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Don't offer alternate route when the highway is closed due to inclement weather. It makes travel unsafe for them as well as us local folks trying to stay safe from them. They get in accidents because they don't what their doing whole driving on local roads

Suggested hazard warnings: slick roads, poor lighting, fog, falling rocks, railess/falls, distant service stations, steep grade, rough road, deer, crossing etc, high pedestrian traffic

Ajust for weather. On 2/20/19, WAZE directed me to a road of untreated solid ice to avoid a traffic jam. Would have preferred the safety of traffic. Can you adjust for that?

In hazards weather you should include Snow. Wisconsin has lots of snow causing poor visibity Wind would be good too

Please add a special button in snow country that will send out a distinct alert, not just the typical notification you use for roadkill. it needs to be audible as well as visual. Perhaps flashing red light.
Squalls happen so fast. You will save lives. -

Waze is a wonderful app. I would like to make a suggestion to the techs the created it and update and such, that if there was way to either partner with maybe weather channel or another weather app to include weather conditions along your travel path so you can be better prepared ahead of time, that would make it even more amazing

It would be very good if it shows which areas of a snow path or the rain or the need for a chain wheel or not and even the temperature of the area or the micron

Add elevation. Also add rain radar so you can see where poor weather is ahead.

Indeed, this would be great. Make it transparent so you can see the normal map through it. Please

Please incorporate Google CAP alerting/Nixle into the Waze client to alert drivers who are driving into a warning such as a tornado warning or flood warning.

As a truck driver I think this would be a good idea, highlighting areas of increased crosswind risk, or at least providing advanced warning to take special care, I appreciate wind comes and goes, but still think it could be a worthwhile warning..

It should be a good idea, especially if you will drive for a long time. You can upgrade the weather condition just for the main cities that you are passing through.

Waze should connect with a weather API & tile mapping platform like AerisWeather to display live radar imagery while users are navigation to their destination.
It could have the ability to re-route drivers if heavy rain, hail, and other severe alerts were detected along their current route. The radar imagery would suffice for at least knowing if a driver can make it to their destination before getting hit with rain/snow.

I had to turn off voice because of those stupid fog alerts, and that made me miss highway exit twice!
