I'd be happy with a simple audio cue, where you get an ascending chime if the speed limit on the segment is higher than the previous segment, and a descending chime if the speed limit on the segment is lower than the previous segment. This would help keep it non intrusive.

I'm curious about those comments that suggests this feature already exists, if it does then it's a hidden feature that is not obvious on how to enable.

Speed limit changes on interstates and roads are often frequent in some places and difficult to see, especially in traffic with lots of semi trucks.
A sound to alert the driver to a change would be helpful!

It would greatly enhance the driving experience if, in addition to the warning tone, there was an informative announcement indicating an upcoming speed limit change. Recently, during my road trip through several southern states in the United States, I encountered numerous instances where the speed limit was reduced for a mile or less on major highways. Unfortunately, there was often only a single small sign indicating the change, resulting in many drivers being pulled over and issued speeding tickets due to the limited time available to adjust their speed from 70 to 55 miles per hour (112 to 88 km/h) in these "speed trap zones". Given that Waze already provides documentation on speed limit changes, I am optimistic that incorporating this feature is feasible. I sincerely appreciate your consideration of this suggestion.

You can set the app to always show the speed limit. It dings every time you go to a new road segment with a speed limit set if speeding.

It would be awesome if you could add speed limit icons on the map, so you can see that there is camera coming, and the speed limit is about to change right before camera.

Can you provide a warning maybe 10 seconds or so before a speed limit changes to a lower limit?
A change to a higher limit is not important as that does not risk a ticket, but right now Waze informs (In very small and hard to read way) that the speed limit changed but usually 2-10 seconds after passing the speed sign. That could be too late and a ticket issued.

I set to alert when 10 percent over speed limit. What happens when I exceed that, is that the speed limit icon gets bigger for 2 seconds and that's all. If I stare at the phone screen the entire time while I'm driving, which is dangerous, especially when speeding, then I might see that. But otherwise that will almost certainly be missed. Can you make that persistent and the speeding warning fill most or all of the screen or keep flashing it until not speeding anymore?
Also, If I specify that 10 percent over the speed limit is okay, than I would not want the speed indicator to go from white to red until I exceed that 10 percent. The way it is now is that it goes red if I go 51 in a 50 zone. Most people go a little over the speed limit and it should only change to red when the speed limit plus the overage allowance set in Waze is exceeded.
Also, there should be an aural warning when speeding.

While I think this a good idea, there is the potential for alert fatigue. We don't map railway crossings because of this and speed limit changes are more prevalent. For example one route can have 3 (or more) changes within 5 minutes.

Warning when approaching changing speed limit. I find myself speeding because I missed a sign. A tone 1/4 mile out, or so, would be beneficial.
