Add closure report to Android Auto
There does not appear to be a way to report a temporary closure of a road due to an accident, etc. from within the Waze Android Auto interface. Please consider adding this feature.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Currently Not Planned since we finalized our plans for 2024 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to include it in our plans for later down the line.
Thanks!

Why is this not included in the Android Auto interface by default

This is an important feature to have. In my state, it would be illegal to report the road closure if I had to use my phone. Adding this to Android auto would be helpful and limit the distraction potential.

Really a must have I've had to use road missing each time a road was closed due to flash flood

This is really important...I drive about 200 miles a day, and use the Android interface. Since I'm usually carrying a passenger, I can't unplug and go to my phone each time. It would be better for the platform if immediate results were available from gig drivers daily.

Definitely needed as temporary closures are not uncommon.

I use Waze most of the time but find the absence of a re-route function in Android Auto on the car screen a major flaw with the app. I always have my Garmin Sat Nav in the car ready to set up for occasions like this. My Garmin has a re-route function which guides me past a closed or blocked road. Can't understand why this issue has not been addressed yet as it has been 4 years since the original post.

So much construction right now, and no way to report it! Avoiding these detours is a big part of why I use GPS in my car. Waze used to be better about this.

This feature could have potentially saved me 30+ minutes on my recent trip. Multiple roads were temporarily closed due to a presidential convoy travelling through the area, but nobody had a way to report the road closures!

I live near the government palace and it's very common to find closed roads due protest and stuff, and I can't report that using Auto interface. It's very annoying that Waze keeps rerouting me to the closed road when I have to change routes.

Need this to mark turnaround areas as closed during construction season!

I tried to report a road closure do construction the only option through Android auto was rode missing. Would like to play a part and making sure folks can get to where they're going and not get stuck and have to turn around.

I also support adding this feature.

I've seen this issue before, figured it would have been addressed by now but still have to mark as map issue. It only makes sense that the AA / Carplay versions would 100% reflect the Android / iPhone versions respectively.

Add road closures to Android auto now.

I use CarPlay and I can’t submit road closure reports! I wasted 25 minutes this week driving around lost because Waze wouldn’t reroute me. Please add this to the CarPlay feature!!!

This is an issue that sometimes forces me to switch to Google Maps because the only routes that Waze gives me are through a closed road. If I could mark it as closed, Waze would route me around it and I could use Waze more exclusively.

Why I have still to use the workaround every time I'm standing before a road block, Every other navigation system I used had this "Reroute now" button,
1. Stop at side line
2. pull cable to switch from AA to App mode
3. report road block, getting new route
4. back to AA to rive with this new router
5. continue driving
BTW this has for me same priority as e.g. reporting a police control, or a broken car that stand on road or side lane
