A suggestion. Would be incredibly helpful and powerful to have Waze (whether in navigation mode, or just viewing the map) be able to alert EV drivers if they're passing close to charge points that have available charging slots). Finding these at the right time is always difficult, and to have Waze alert in this way would be game-changing. Would need to be able to provide some basic filters, such as minimum charging power, plug type, favourite providers, etc.

Now that EV can be selected, the ability to select diesel or petrol has disappeared.

Show the presence of a charging station, connectors and charging network.

Since there is an option to choose an electric vehicle as type of vehicle, it only makes sense that instead of choosing preferred gas station and type of fuel, to choose preferred charging stations and charging prices.

On cars like the Polestar 2 that have Android Automotive, Waze should be able to estimate how much battery you should have when you get to your destination. If you don't have enough of a charge to get to your destination, Waze should add EV charging stations to your route.

Adding the option to show EV chargers as well as gas stations would be an incredible update!

Have recently switched to full EV (full electric) vehicle and find it impossible to plan drives, automatically selecting, calculating recharging stations based on car characteristics.
Also would love to see a switch replacing “gas-stations” being EV-charging stations (including the ability to select charger types, from slow AC to DC- superchargers – expressed in KWH)

In some countries the majority of new cars sold are electric drivetrain. Besides EV mode the app should know about individual makes and models to route to best charging options. It should have the features of A Better Route Planner. I stopped using Waze when I bought my Tesla because the application is EV illiterate.

When I change my to an electric car, I cannot remove the old one with gas

If that is fixed, electric car travels would be easier
