Look for the configuration of zoom in you smartphone on "acessibility". Maybe it helps.

Don't surround numbers with boxes as it makes them harder to read. Use that space for larger digits.

In particular I find it hard to see the exit number off a forthcoming roundabout, and motorway junction numbers.

and please stop showing the road numbers using road sign icons - I know motorways are blue, and A roads are Green, and B roads are white. What I REALLY need to be able to read is what road number I'm following and they are much harder to see when shown as signs. PLEASE let me choose to just have the numbers in the big blue font and not tiny little badges

For the turn navigation on iOS the road numbers used to be in the large blue font. Now they are shown in Blue, Green, or White boxes as they are on road signs - while they are readable on road signs on an iphone screen they are not, in fact it's dangerous to make the font that small. PLEASE go back to just using the large blue font for road numbers (or at least make it a choice in Preferences).

The size of the speed limit is way too small to see especially when on iPhone on a phone holder. Pls increase size.

Especially for millions of users over about 45 years old, the font size is impossible to read while driving, without dangerously grabbing for reading glasses. Some sort of simple gesture or even brief activation of a font size increase upon zooming, would be extremely helpful.
