Please provide an option to turn off the "car stopped on shoulder" warning.
This is the most common warning yet doing nothing more than distracting. People stop on shoulders for few minutes all the time so why do I need to care unless I am planning to drive on the shoulder?? Turning off road hazards does not help.
Great news! The option to filter the kinds of alert you would like to get is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.

Or have a way that you can eras or "downvote" reports to show they are no longer active.

CHris I think you made it obvious to everyone who read this who is the deep shit jackass. BTW I am from the same country this app came from.

Thank you vince1612 for letting us know and thank you Waze for finally listening after 4 years of complains. Not sure when they added this option in setting-> display and map. Hard to tell nowadays when apps get updated automatically.

It helps the enroute rescuer find the stranded motorist. Duh. Community. Or simply turn it off in settings.

I don't know why you guys are still complaining...
Waze App Settings > Display and map > Alerts on route > Un-check "Hazard on shoulder"This should be marked as done

Weirdest thing is that very sporadically I do get a 'traffic jam ahead' alert but it is in male voice and not Jane her voice. Strange. I would love to see more functionality added around this!

I would definitely turn this alert off. I have driven for over 20 years without needing to know this information and I've never had a close call with a vehicle on the shoulder. This is the least helpful alert and it would be nice to be abel to turn this alert off.

I dissent. At least, I would not turn it off. Most of the time it's silly, I'll grant you, but there are some instances where it's a lifesaver, like when the shoulder is really small and the vehicle is interfering with traffic.

Please make it so if it is not shown on the map you do not hear an alert for it.

I DONT CARE. I don't drive on the shoulder of the highway so please let me disable this warning.

Agreed! In New Jersey there are cars, trucks, etc. stopped on the full-size shoulder every mile. Especially since the warning begins with WATCH OUT!, which scares the life out of me for no reason. A car ON the road is a hazard; here, a car on the shoulder is scenery :-) Thank you.

I think the reason for the hazard of vehicle pulled over is because when you're driving on the interstate, in some places, it is the law to switch lanes when vehicles are in the breakdown lane. Also maybe if you'd be willing to help the person. I have done it once and the person offered me 100$ for my generosity, obviously I had no idea that was going to happen but sometimes it's nice to do good deeds.

It is especially annoying when listening to music over Bluetooth! The only other thing equally annoying is the weather warnings. I can see the weather out my windshield!

Yes please it's quite annoying

If I could turn off car on shoulder I would turn all other alerts back on. I can't stand it constantly warning me about cars on the shoulder... Who cares!! I want to know about objects in the road and police. But because it is constantly warning me about cars in the shoulder I turn off all alerts and voice navigation.

+3 votes for this. The absolute most annoying thing about using Waze, which is otherwise an amazing app.

I want to disable specific alerts. The one that bothers me most is "construction ahead". Telling me that 1/2 mile before I get there is useless. I see orange signs and barrels long before that. And when it's a daily thing on my regular route I really don't need to hear it every day.
