Possibility to add road closure on CarPlay
Possibility to mark road closed on apple carplay: ofen in Montreal, Canada we have lots of road closure, not reported on waze, causing wrong direction.
Thank you for your valuable feedback. We're pleased to confirm that this suggestion is planned and we appreciate your input as we continue to enhance our product.

My whole thing is helping others. I don't want people going down a road that is closed. It would just be nice to be able to report it easily and fast because for one I'm driving and two, I'm running late because I went down a road that was closed.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I didn't even know that was an option until the support told me I could use the "closure" option next time (as opposed to "general map error")... I never use Waze unconnected to my car. Not sure why this and a few other options aren't available.

Had the same problem today in Valencia, Spain: a temporary road closure ended up being reported as an invalid turn.
This is crucial for the social aspect of Waze.

This issue should be revisited. Many more Update Requests (user reports) are generated on the Waze Map Editor because of the inability to simply report a closure. By the time anyone answers these reports, most have already re-opened. The original purpose of this function was for drivers to help other drivers avoid routing into the same inconvenient situations. For many users currently, it's anything but that.

Please add this feature. With all the construction that has happened on the freeways I travel in the last year, it would have been very helpful to have. I would end up reporting any closures not shown as "turn not allowed" and it seems to throw the map editors off until I explain what I meant.

Greetings from Mexico City!
I am a happy avid Waze user since 2014. 2 years ago I updated my car stereo with a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX in-dash Multimedia Receiver which I probably use on a daily basis. Since Mexico City suffers from constant road closures due to demonstrators/protesters I frequently report such road closures to help other users behind me. The problem is that when my iPhone is connected via CarPlay with my Pioneer receiver, the reporting button never shows the "closure" option to mark certain roads. In order to do that, I need to disconnect my phone from the receiver so I can access the full menu of options that includes the closure option. Sometimes I can do the whole process because of traffic, but many other times it is impossible for me to do the entire sequence. It would be AWESOME if you can include the CLOSURE option for the CarPlay reporting menu; I believe you guys have plenty of space. In case you need to delete an option from such menu in order to include the CLOSURE option, then I guess you can erase the MAP ISSUE option since I am pretty sure very few people use it. I hope this suggestion helps me and other drivers to report road closures rapidly without distracting ourselves from driving. Cheers, and stay safe!

I can hardly count the number of times I have been blindsided by a road being closed, or a run taking place in the middle of the city and roads are simply closed everywhere, and I have to make massive detours myself.

Please add this feature, the roads in the area I live are constantly changing in if they are open or closed due to the construction. It would be great to make these reports through CarPlay

It's one of the most important features in waze. It's more bothering and dangerous to disconnect the iPhone, marking the road-closure und reconnect the iPhone back to the Car-HiFi.... than just tap on the carplay-screen itself.

Adding a report option to the CarPlay display for road closures, instead of having to disconnect phone from vehicle in order to see all the available report options.

On my 2019 BMW I use CarPlay mode as a default mode for navigation on my big screen in the car. During that mode I always use Waze to see road situation better. In that mode it is not possible to report road closures currently (as of Sep 2022). When I see a closed road (which is often a case in Bulgaria) I report "General map error" or "Turn not allowed" and later I have to deal with people asking me what is the actual error. Often this happen weeks after the report and at that time it's hard for me to remember exact situation or road that were closed. And people just close my reports without adding any closure.
This also does not help for the routing as it doesn't know about that closure either.
It would be great if road closures could be directly reported in Waze in Apple CarPlay mode at the actual situation and time! This is important feature to have.If there is a problem with touch function to select exact road, Waze could just show visually next road segments with numbers and I could just press/select which number is closed.

It is inconvenient and at times dangerous to access your Waze app on the phone while driving. Please include the "Road Closure" button in CarPlay!

One would think this should be an immediate option while driving. So frustrating that option isn't a quick tap option

The Road closure button is far more important than some of the other buttons. It should be available in Apple Play - if you encounter a temporary closure, that's information people need to know about! It should be higher up in the app - it's the one you need to access quickly, because when you're trying to get around a closure, you need to specify where that closure is. Petrol or map chat isn't as urgent.
