This needs to be added ASAP. Carplay keeps redirecting you several ways back to the closed road until you can find a safe place to stop, disconnect your phone from carplay, report road closed on phone, reconnect carplay. It's a huge hassle and usually not safe.

A lot of road closures in the area recently. I had to disconnect carplay because it kept trying to direct me back through closed roads.

I can’t for the life of me figure out why this exists in the app when just using my phone but is completely inaccessible when using CarPlay. You can select a lane closure, but I am consistently driving around Brooklyn, NY and because of a street fair or construction, entire roads will be blocked, sometimes for the day, sometimes for a few hours. If I disconnect from CarPlay, I can report it as such, but while using CarPlay, I can’t. I’m certainly not going to disconnect while I’m driving. This seems like a major issue, especially since when I’m unable to report why I d didn’t continue on the route, most of the time, Waze just tries to get me back to the route instead of looking no for a way around, and that basically makes Waze completely unusable until it decides to catch up because I’m moving further away by the second.
I’ve seen something people write that it’s a limitation set by Apple with CarPlay, but that makes absolutely no sense since it’s already a function in the iOS app, and you can report everything else, including lane closures. What’s the deal?

I live in Pennsylvania where the 5th season is Road Work & having the road closure option on CarPlay is essential especially when one pops up out of the blue.

This would be a huge benefit. There is ongoing construction issues in my area daily and every weekend and waze does not give good directions because road closures cannot be reported.

I would love to have this. I experienced a 3 day road closure and there wasn’t an easy way to do it through car play.

Tried to report two road closures on my commute recently, couldn’t find the option on Apple CarPlay! I ended up reporting a map issue since it was the only option I could find that made sense, but the report was rejected and I was told to use the closure feature on my phone Waze app instead. Please add this feature to CarPlay - Waze CarPlay users cannot switch to their phones to do this safely!

It appears that i am unable to vote for this requested enhancement. Is it because the status has been set to NOT RIGHT NOW? Regardless, please enable reporting of road closures when using CarPlay.

I've seen it said that it is Apple blocking the implementation of this feature. However, Apple support is telling me that Waze should support all reporting features. Which is it, an issue with Apple or this still not being a high enough priority for Waze?

This problem with Carplay has been going on waaaaaaze too long. When we're driving, we need to be able to quickly & easily hit the buttons we've grown to expect to be there in the places we expect them to be after all these years. Can you please report this up the chain that it needs to be fixed? The report button needs "road closure" added to Carplay. Unsafe for me to be digging for and unplugging the phone just to find this button on the phone itself instead of on the heads up screen where it should be.

I can’t understand why the map try’s to have me cut through a subdivision it is not a closed road

Please add this feature! I drove an extra hour because it kept rerouting me to the same exit 5 different ways!

I use waze a lot (400.000 points) and started using CarPlay now. I was super surprised that there is a feature gap between both use cases.
I just rehistered an account here to vote for this, as the missing functionality is a real deal breaker for me - I lost in the last week twice 20 min because of this and had to use a different Navigation app.
Super frustrating when waze still wants to route you back to the closed road.

Yeah this needs an option since I don't use my phone while driving, but i report stuff using carplay. Why isn't this an option now??? Leads to bad reports and confusion since I have to choose something other than what it really is.
