I was driving the other day when I had a road closure. I went to report it on the map via Apple Car Play, but I didn’t have all of the options available to me that I needed to make the report and had to disconnect my phone from the car and try to futz with that while driving (dangerous). Please give us the same reporting tools for Apple car play as we have just on the regular version of the app. Also would be nicer to have an easier way to report road closures, as it’s pretty buried/hard to find in a pinch. Thanks!

Why can’t the same report options be on CarPlay.

For example if a road is closed you can only report it if you’re on your phone and on the app. I drive mainly by myself and so if a road was shut I wouldn’t be able to report. Or do other certain reports that you can on the app but not on the CarPlay.

Please add this feature! I just had to report a road closure because I didn’t have this on my CarPlay, therefore leading to a wrongful report of issue and waste of volunteer editors’ time.

Critical feature, as it leads to distracted driving without it and is not giving back to the community when you do not report it.

Upvoting pretty much all the comments- it's distracting to use the Waze app to get rerouted instead. Road closures have become more and more frequent and I end up switching maps- not the experience I desire, hence an update would be helpful!

Need this in CarPlay for crying out loud. It's a huge inconvenience at best, and a safety issue at worst. How can you expect people to stop, unplug, and report a Closure, re-plug...all while they are driving? "Map Issue" is the only option available, which I what I have been using, and creates a problem for volunteer editors not seeing the issue in time.

I totally agree! We need a road closure button on carplay and AA versions of Waze! This is extra important in Michigan where they make you do a "Michigan Left" aka turn around on a split median road where if one is closed for construction you may have to drive an extra mile out of your way to get to the next available one! Please add this button!

so many reports of "missing road" are actually closures. this is a pretty glaring omission to both the Android Auto and CarPlay offerings... how long has it been now since this idea was posted and we've seen nothing?

Yes please - I've several times had to avoid temporarily closed roads in NYC for various reasons (flooding, police emergency, etc) and there's no way to report these in carplay.
