Other nav apps had a nice feature that might be handy in Waze. Have gas station pop ups along a drive route.

The Waze feature to search for gas is nearly useless. It shows stations hundreds of miles away, not on my route near my location. As a result we use Gas Buddy or other apps when we would prefer to do this in Waze. Many people have been asking Waze for this. Why has it not been implemented yet?

Gas prices have risen extremely beginning of 2022, mainly because of the situation in Ukrain. Yet I was not able to adjust a price, which was announced in Waze as €2,149 but was in fact € 2,369. I understand this must be a sort of protection against false info from jokers or competitors, that prevents extreme changes as unbelievable, yet these times these changes are a fact of live. The new price should therefor not be compared to the old price but to recently changed prices in the neighborhood.

I go on a lot of roadtrips and this feature would be so helpful when I’m in an unfamiliar state, and I’m low on gas, needing the closest gas station en route.

-display rest areas for a (pay on exit per distance) toll road/turnpike option for gas, food, etc. first. I would not want to usually pay extra toll get off the turnpike just to pay cheaper gas or fast food.

-sort by distance is great if you are searching for the cheapest & closest gas on a route before you car goes empty in 10 miles versus 100 miles

-the more options you can set as default in your preferences (rather than while driving), the better

-yep. Interfacing to gas buddy on the Waze back end is easier for me than having 2 apps running at the same time.

Additionally, it would be great if gas stops could be entered based on milage when using the map to create a route. For instance, when creating a route, be able to mouse over the route and have a dialog balloon show milage to that point and then be able to add gas stops of choice close to the milage you choose. We could then have preset stops for gas show up and be announced during the trip.

Can I give this more votes than 3? I've found when I've got a long (>50 miles) route in Waze and I hit the gas station icon it will show gas stations closest to the destination, not closest to where you are now. That makes it pretty useless as I'm not planning on where I'll get gas in over a 100 miles, I need it within 30 miles because I just realized I'm low on gas!

Along the same lines, being able to search for gas stations around a point of interest and not just where you are/along a route would also be extremely useful.

In android auto show only your preferred gas station and preferred gas price with the address for quick decision making on the best price and distance away. i have a company gas card and can only use that station.

next to distance price brand, there should be an tion "on route" or not. example: i dont want to detour an extra 10 km for a gas station, when there is one on route within 20 km...

When traveling I would like to set a mileage to the next gas station, this would also include in settings a choice of station and price. In settings you can inform about the gas prices and a start rating for the station.

I would personally find it convenient to hit one button on the main navigation interface to select the nearest fuel station, regardless of if it's on my main route or not. At a pinch, there's space for one more icon on the 'Send a report' page, but personally I think an icon immediately above the 'Send a report' icon, or immediately under the search bar at the top left of the screen would be best.

One tap to put it in as a stop on the existing drive would work best for me, as I think if you need the nearest filling station, most people will be going there, filling up and then getting on with the original journey.

As the app learns your driving pattern. You would get in app notifications about nearby gas stations.

In winnemucca heading to sacramento. Gas search shows closest 160 miles away in sparks. Worthless

The same with Parking with toilets and restaurants. Could be nice if the map shows icons where they are while navigating to your destination.
I drove through Germany and it is a pain to see if there is a upcoming gas station. Now you have to touch the screen and do something with it.
I like to see direct on screen if there is a gas station or a parking-lot is ahead so I need less screen time to determine and can concentrate on the road.

Great APP for those of us who spend a lot of time on the road.

Over the past two years, GAS BUDDY has screwed up its app completely...you could take over their market with a few minor changes...primarily showing us gas prices along a route.

Is it possible to just show us all the gas prices in an area of the map (of our choosing)??

This would be a HUGE help.

It would be great if there was a way to post restaurants and gas that are ahead and within as setable distance of the road you are traveling on. When looking on sites for stuff near me I never know if it is front of me, behind me or too far off the road being traveled.

It would be good if you could sort petrol prices on their last updated date as well as their price. Any petrol price not updated in last 5 days is probably wrong
