Include a compass on Waze when displayed in Apple CarPlay so I know which direction I’m headed!

I agree, Waze needs to add a compass in apple carplay. I just bought a Toyota Camry and it does not come with a compass and I need apple car play to show a compass

Isn't this a fundamental feature of a GPS?? Very disappointing.

It would be nice if there was an option to have a small compass displayed on the screen when I’m using Waze on CarPlay. It just makes it so much easier to figure out directions when I can see what way the map thinks I’m facing.

Apple Maps does this perfectly. Why can’t Waze put travel direction on the CarPlay display? A simple N, E, S, W, NE, SE, NW, SW?

It would be nice to have a simple compas witch will always give you an idea of where North is.

I love your GPS Navigation. Would you please add compass on the corner of the screen with showing the current street name under it.

yes! i use waze with carplay and when you are lost in an unfamiliar area, a compass direction is essential.

When I am in an unfamiliar area I would REALLY like to know which compass direction I am traveling. Waze should display the travel direction. It currently does not.

How can I escalate this request?

Google Maps is more stupid than that. It tells You things like "go east" WHEN YOU ARE ON A MOTORBIKE. The level of stupidity.....

I agree. Waze should use compass on the display and also it should use it in conjunction with GPS to quickly show the direction. It normally takes 20-30 meters (65-100 feet) of travel to show the correct direction if you don't follow the navigation.
Waze also needs to improve its GPS accuracy. In open area (no physical obstruction) the GSP accuracy of a Cell Phone is aprrox. 3-5 meters (10-16 ft). Waze's GPS accuracy is 20-30 meters (65-100 feet). So if oyu're driving on a highway (say 401), it would know that you're on Express or on Collector lanes.

Well, it's 2019 and it still doesn't have a FUNCTIONING COMPASS. I just dowloaded Google Maps and Waze to my Apple CarPlay. I didn't have Apple CarPlay until a couple weeks ago when I
bought a 2019 Honda CR-V. dowloaded Waze and found some really interesting features that I like. I then realized, however that there was no COMPASS setting on the map. The Compass item listed in Setting does NOTHING when turned on. It does NOT show on map. I toggled it on and off with no success. This is CRAZY. As the poster above states who EVER heard of a Navigation app without a COMPASS to see what direction you are driving in? Seriously !

Additionally allow manual selection of direction / orientation on startup, in case compas isn't available or isn't reliable.

I think you need both the arrow and the directional. I don't see why you couldn't incorporate the directional within the arrow....

Why this thing still doesn't have a compass is beyond me. It's 2018 and you people dont know how to add a compass to a GPS app? The compass also should be turned on by default. Please don't make us go crazy searching through a ton of menus just to turn the damn thing on.

I agree a speedometer is absolutely useless. But I've never seen a navigation app that doesn't have a compass. I'm so used to the compass on Google maps that I could not live without it. Until then no more Waze for me.

a navigation app without a compass? seems kinda stupid.
