Show border line on map
Since the corona virus crossing borders in Europe isn't that easy as before. So it would be nice if I could see the border line clearly on the map. A thick red line for example (like google maps) or something similar would be neat.
It also makes things easier to navigatie if you know whether you entering a different country when planning your route. In Europe, this sometimes could be the case.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

Very difficult when using Northup mode to see your route ahead when traveling south .

Dear Waze Support,
When using North-Up display mode, the car icon remains fixed at the bottom of the screen. This makes it difficult to see the route ahead when driving southbound, since the map doesn’t adjust to show more of the upcoming road.
Would it be possible to allow dynamic positioning (e.g., centered placement) in North-Up mode to improve forward visibility?
Thank you for your assistance.
Best regards,

I am curious what are the arguments against this suggestion that is highly requested by users.

Country borders are crucial for long road trips planning. Currently I am planning on Google maps just because Waze not showing country borders.

Add country border lines to the map. It's really a missing feature when overviewing/choosing preffered route.

Add state & province boundaries. I always found this helpful on my older Garmin GPS systems

I think it would be great to actually show the political subdivision borders, at least the state borders although county or town or international borders would be even better

Also country borders would be great when you are zoomed out like in 'overview' because otherwise the map is just a big highway mess that I cannot read

It would be nice to see the country borders in the Waze app so that you know which countries you are travelling through when planning your route, for example.

Many sat navs do not HIGHLIGHT (make bold in colour) the borders or area of towns or cities on the map, they just add a name. Being able to see when you are approaching a town or city would be beneficial to any driver, especially if you need to search for a POI.

When searching locations on a map, especially around borders between countries, you dont see the country-borders. That is really not practical, should be clearly visible on any zoom-level (or user should at least have the option to switch this on or off or how these should be visualised on his/her map-settings).

The car icon should also adjust it position when you have an audio app open in Waze (in portrat orientation) . As it is now is the car icon almost covered by the audio panel.

100 percent critical. State laws can vary greatly, it'd be nice to stay on top of them.

Why do you not have visible state/national borders on your maps? Should we not be aware of the boundries of major legal jurisdictions when traveling?

Please add state borders on Waze maps. It is very difficult to drive and trying to find other resources for references. It can lead to dangerous accidents when a driver is trying to type with tiny letters on their phone screens.
Thank you for reading my suggestion. Be well. -

I totally agree!! I just drove from Tampa Florida to Hannibal Missouri to Phoenix Arizona through 11 states and we never knew when we were close to the state borders. Google Maps shows state lines on theirs, but I prefer to use Waze. Please fix!!

While I was on vacation and driving through states I never knew where the boarders are because I always wanted to stop and take a picture. On google they have it when you enter a state it will say “welcome to ...” I think Waze should do this and just show state boarders and when you get close to them.
