Connecting drivers and pedestrians to help poor children in the streets.

Last week I was traveling on a bus and in a corner and saw a poor father asking for help for her young daughter who was asleep, maybe she was sick, but very few motorists gave help, I just prayed for them ...

The next day visit the place where they had been the day before in order to help and could not locate them. It is difficult to know where will be their day to day location.

Then it occurred to me that if I had an app that could connect to drivers and pedestrians with good heart to help poor street children in real time.

An example . A driver or pedestrian arrives at a location where there are poor children in need, open Waze and locate on the map the location, some icons appear with descriptions of the required assistance: food, medicines, money, shelter, clothing, blankets, shoes etc. select the icons that apply and drags them to the indicated location.

This alerts drivers and pedestrians near the place to go to help and tells them what is needed.
Also it would alert the government aid agencies, the Red Cross, churches and near businesses to help too.

The object is to provide initial help and then sustainable aid.

application could perhaps also have a History button, where drivers and pedestrians that once helped a child might know his whereabouts and actual progress they have had..
This app would also serve as a wonderful way to meet kind people and join forces to help the needy children.

The Brazilian law recently introduced the requirement to connect the lights to move in State and Federal Highways . Waze could warn the user whenever it transitasse by one of these types of roads.

Good suggestion, should be studied the possibility of adding the waze

Waze should show some advice for safe driving in traffic, as "obey the signs," "do not drive drunk", "does not exceed in prohibited places," "give preference to pedestrians in the crosswalk", etc.

Since you have animals listed just update with dog/deer/human symbols to keep it simple but encompass everything to be complete

Very nice idea. In my city so many people cross the street in incorrect locations.

Add (or change) an option for a hazard on should to be "Object." In Michigan we do not have the cleanest roads. I have driven past bumpers, boxes, glass, etc. on the shoulder, but there is no option for me to report it.

Also, could we add an option for "Pedestrian." Many people, walk, run, bike, etc. in the streets/shoulder, as well as construction crews, etc. This would be especially helpful at night when streets may not be well-light.

During my 50min one way commute on busy roads and highways I've seen a few people walking on the shoulder. Today I tried to place an alert but there wasn't an option for it yet it was very dangerous for the person walking.
I think adding this feature would be helpful

Need pedestrian option in waze

Waze is around the world. In Chile, South America you have many people entering the highways due to avoid walking to the pedestrian bridge or sometimes it is people who you can tell are homeless with mental disorder. So far, I have been using "animals" on the road when seeing a risky person walking throught the highways. We are part of the animal kingdom, but it is not specific but kind of help other drivers.

Add an option for a person on the shoulder or roadway. This would be good in the event of a hitchhiker or someone walking along the roadway for driver's to keep a look out so the person does not get hit.

This would notify drivers that on the road there are people who don't have reflectors. Of course people are moving, so the icon also could show moving direction.

You should add people walking down the road as one of the hazards. There have been so many times I've wanted to report a person walking down a busy road, but there's no option for that.

I travel quite a bit and see pedestrians walking along on the interstate. I am concerned that a pedestrian could be hit and killed while walking on a busy iinterstate.
