Automatically sleep Waze when disconnecting from CarPlay

Hi, can an option be added to automatically put Waze to sleep after unplugging it from CarPlay? I don't need Waze to remain active once I've reached my destination, and when I get back into my car I usually start it manually myself.

    Waze remains open on the phone after disconnecting from Car Play. This is annoying since it drains my battery and makes the phone hot within my pocket. Please, turn it off automatically after coming down the car (Carplay off) or at least leave an option to "enable/disable after leaving the car" in case some user would like to keep it running.

    Currently, Waze just automatically turns on when I get in the car, and stays on even after I’ve left the car. This morning, it drained my battery completely four hours after I left the car.

    Wireless carplay starts waze, car shuts down, I leave the car, few mins later I pickup the phone and blue GPS icon still on with waze running location while walking. Not sure how to get it to exit after driving without manually force closing the app.

    I cannot believe this isn’t a feature. I’m so tired of wasting battery because I forgot to florece close the app once I got out of the car. This is ridiculous.

    For the love of god, why can’t the app just shut down when unplugged from the car? I just found my phone, blazing hot, in my purse after unplugging from car. I don’t need directions around my home or while running errands. This is so dumb.

    This is a simple idea that would have a profound beneficial effect. My phone gets hot in my pocket because I get out of my car and forget that Waze is still running. It gets hot unless I close that app manually after removing it from my car. Just give us an option to close the app upon disconnection from CarPlay. thx

    App keeps going once you leave the car with CarPlay. Normally shuts off and stops navigating.

    Hi. It looks like after one of the more recent iOS updates or Waze updates, Waze remains open on the phone after disconnecting from Car Play. Sometimes this gets a bit irritating also because if you forget to close the app, it ends up consuming battery life unnecessarily. Previously this wasn’t the case and Waze would close after disconnecting from Car Play.

    Please add a Siri Shortcut to the app to put Waze to sleep and we’ll be able to do this ourselves.

    Have the same problem and the same ideia to not start WAZE automatically when connect to Apple CarPlay
