Let to use keyboard (as passanger) on Android Auto
As a user, I would like to have with Android Auto the same option as with Apple CarPlay to use the keyboard as a passenger.
Currently, while I'm driving with family f.e. on a highway in my country it's illegal to stop on the side of the road. So I'm not able to enter the destination address while in motion. My wife as a passenger has to plug out my phone from USB and enter it manually and plug it in again. It's just plain stupid. It's not even a security option if I have to use my phone to enter an address, while iPhones (Apple CarPlay) can do that without any problem.
Basically, for that reason, I'm thinking about switching my phone from Google Pixel to an iOS device.
Thanks for your feedback. At this time, this doesn't fit on our roadmap, but we'll keep it in mind for future product planning.

This is such a pain in the neck. Also, it doesn’t fit the roadmap for what reason? Lastly, when using Waze in another country, such as Brazil, the keyboard while driving feature works perfectly… lol … it’s the same behavior on Android auto or Apple car play

So Waze is pretty much useless then. Why on earth would I need to stop the car just so my wife could type in the destination?! Are you insane?!?
And no, voice-recognition is pure garbage. It barely works where places have English names, and doesn't work at all anywhere else, which is most of the world.
The fact that your "roadmap" doesn't include letting people use your app says so much about your attitude, how you think you're superior to everyone else, how you know best how others should behave in their own cars. This is absolutely insane!!
