Compass
Could you please add a very simple compass to the view? I know that I can set the map to have north up, but I would like to have a little compass in the other view (that is like more) just to know the bearing. thank you. Waze is now my default navigation app.

VERY IMPORTANT! We're going on a New England foliage vacation Sept. 18 and we'll be traveling from New Jersey up to Maine on roads we've never been on before and a compass is more important than anything to us to make sure we're traveling in the right direction. I know you have it on the my Android Samsung 23 phone with a circle and an arrowhead in it and I can click on it and it changes everything to North but I need it on the screen in my car (2022 ) Acura ILX. Thank you.

Instead of the compass dial with pointer, provide an option for users to choose a small window the scrolls through the basic 8 cardinal direction identifiers or the actual degree of direction the vehicle is headed.

1- בהפעלת האפליקציה בטלפון, נגיעה ריגעית על המסך מראה בצד ימין למעלה מצפן.
אין דרך להשאיר אותו קבוע שם
חשוב שתהיה אפשרות.2- מד גובה , מערכת מבוססת GPS הנתונים קיימים , בנסיעה באיזור הררי מעניין מה הגובה שמטפסים ויורדים יחסית ל גובה פני הים

yes! i use waze with carplay and when you are lost in an unfamiliar area, a compass direction is essential.

Additionally allow manual selection of direction / orientation on startup, in case compas isn't available or isn't reliable.

I think you need both the arrow and the directional. I don't see why you couldn't incorporate the directional within the arrow....

I agree a speedometer is absolutely useless. But I've never seen a navigation app that doesn't have a compass. I'm so used to the compass on Google maps that I could not live without it. Until then no more Waze for me.

To my disappointment, my new Subaru has all kinds of gadgets except a compass! I live the speed readout and was wondering if a compass could be included as well. Thanks!

...even a minimal "north" symbol to let me know which way the map is oriented. Frequently out of a parking lot, Waze tells me to travel on a road, but I'm not sure if the map is flipped 180 degrees. Half the time, it is.
