Hello Waze team,

I'd like to suggest an improvement to the navigation experience. Currently, Waze only displays the distance to the next maneuver (such as a turn or highway exit).

I believe it would be very helpful if the app also showed the estimated time until the next maneuver, based on current traffic conditions.

For example, instead of just displaying "Turn right in 800 meters," it could show "Turn right in 800 meters (~2 min)."

This would help drivers better prepare in advance, especially in heavy traffic or on high-speed roads.

@Rob @Meged - This is not about timing the next turn alers - it is about what is shown in the next turn panel on the top. We want to show time (and i would prefer ETA too, as there is unused space)

Exactly my thought. I would even extend it to Turn instructions too.
Often when trying to find out when do i reach next country, or next highway or specific intersection i check the turn instructions (e.g. to coordinate a meeting on the route), but those only show distances.
There is always enough space to show also remaining time and ETA too.
The same applies for the final destination - only final ETA is shown, but distance and time delta would be useful for final destination too).

Alerts based on time ahead of action are more human-centric and based on driving preparation and reaction rather than based on distance alone. Add TIME-BASED as an option for alerts. (E.g. 5 min, 1 min, 10 secs before turn.)

Time = D / Vn where D is the distance shown and Vn is the following:
Vn = 1/8 * Vs + 7/8 * Vp where
Vs is the current sample of speed,
Vp is the previous Vn
8 is a number depends on the sampling rate.
I have detailed solution if you like to actually provide a more accurate time to next turn in abnormal situations. The solution is very simple

O WAZE é espetacular, entretanto, perdão, mas percebi que em determinadas ocasiões, em saídas de estradas, algumas vezes o WAZE informa com antecedência de 800 metros e depois confirma com antecedência de 200 metros, e ainda a 20 metros, aproximadamente, ele indica para entrar à direita ou à esquerda, etc., que é excelente para a nossa atenção, prevenção e preparo, mas têm outras vezes que ele informa com antecedência de 20 ou 30 metros, quando já está muito em cima e com a possibilidade de passar a entrada tendo que ir até o retorno para ir ao objetivo, a minha sugestão é: se tem a possibilidade de em todas as ocasiões o WAZE informar sempre com antecedência de 800 metros e depois confirmar com antecedência de 200 metros, e ainda a 20 metros, aproximadamente, ele indicar para entrar à direita ou à esquerda, etc.?,

I recommend to add new information to waze navigation. If we travel we can see on lower part of screen. estimation our route: time, end time and distance of set route.

On upper part of screen we can see distance to near change of route. I suggest to add time information too. The users can be informed how much time take the route to next change. For example on highway route you can estimate and calculate time for rest or break.

Notice your idea had the same idea would be really useful especially on long stretches of roads such as motorways how long left until next exit/turning.

So it would be counting down the time until the exit/turning so if you had 30mins until your next turning you could relax without having to keep checking the screen, I don't have the voice directions on, I have muted, so I use all the visual cues on screen. Look at this idea again Waze developer team! This is a goldmine idea!!! Don't leave this another 3 years to implement

Please add a small transparent button that show time of next route and wazer can be select it.

I am from Brazil, and I think Waze should show the time remain to the next turn, right next to the street name, based on the estimated time to the target, it will make mor easier to us drivers to follow instructions.

As well as distance, it should be useful to have a timer (near real time, or only tenth of seconds) to show how much time will be necessary to reach next turn. Maybe the two ETAs, side by side, should be differentiated by font size and color. This is particular useful when your blocked in traffic, and you would know how much time (and not kilometers) you have to wait to reach the turn.

I have a horrible sense of distance in feet. I would like an instruction that would take my speed and work out the distance to the next turn in seconds. So instead of being given "Turn left in 1000 feet", she would say "Turn left in 8 seconds." Ideally, combine this with the idea that would have her say "Turn left at the 2nd left in 8 seconds" so I know not to turn too soon.

At the top of the screen, it tells us the next turn to make and the countdown in miles/km. Can you add the time it will take in order to reach that next turning. This will help when making long journeys on motorways so we have an indication of how long until, for example, I will leave the motorway and join another motorway. I think this is similar to when we are caught in traffic and it does the countdown to when that traffic jam will end. Thanks

Currently, while navigating there's a light blue status bar at the top of the screen that shows the direction of the next turn, and the time or distance till the next turn. To the right there's street info. The information contained in this area is all valuable but at time difficult to read safely while driving. My suggestion is to enhance the next turn bar by making it a progress indicator.

I suggest that the bar progressively change color sliding from right to left. When the next action is imminent the bar should change color with the action icon itself a strongly contrasting color.

The goal would be to have a status bar that in and of itself can safely guide the driver without having to read the text or the map.
