Is there a way to Put Waze onto a Garmin ? Or can was produce its own stand alone GPS unit not on a phone ?

After just getting a ticket from using Waze on my phone. Since it is a mobile device it is considered the same as reading or texting as it is not affixed to the vehicle under Michigan Law. Make this available on a Garmin, tell me the unit and I will buy it. It's a great app, but not synergistic with the current laws. Oh and by the way you can bet I will be reporting every police spotted. I will just have to pull over......boo.

Is there any way I can add the Waze app on my Garmin? So I do not have to waste money, I do not have on a phone mount. In addition, not using so much phone data. Where I can also keep my eyes on the road, when I am not working for Lyft or what have you. I can go back to using the Garmin when not working.
