Enable audio alert for speed cams regardless of the speed.
Waze currently only triggers audio alerts about speed cams when the driver is above the speed limit of the specific cam.
Since the speed detection on Waze is very flawed (at least here in Brazil/Rio de Janeiro), and not all cams have their speed limit properly set, it would be MUCH better if Waze triggered it's audible alert for speed cams independently of the fact that the driver may be above or below the limit of the cam.
And keep up the good work!
Great news! The audio alert for speed camera regardless of the speed is now available in Waze. Install the latest app version to check it out.
Would be great if I could get any sound while approaching speed cameras, Some users say that there is a audio warning but I cant get any sound from mine, using nokia n8 having to watch the screen all the time rather than the road ahead.

I have noticed that vocal warnings or speed camera, etc only happen when navigating to a destination.
If just using Waze without directional navigation you only see the alerts on the map but hear no vocal warning.
Please can this be added?
If all Wazers have Waze in the pocket, of the jacket, what is the use of Waze ?
You want hazard warning but you don't warn other users ?

Please, a sound and a voice warning for each hazard (fixed or mobile radar) and whatever our speed. Think of bikers who have headsets connected to the phone in the pocket of the jacket and not the eyes on the screen.
A new option to choose when Waze alerts for speed cameras by sound and popup:
- if current speed is greater than the speed limit
Yes a loud audible high-pitched alert, something that would go off before the watch out notification. You could turn it on or off under settings. If you wanted to get fancy you could have a different sound per alert....Police car, radar, hazard, traffic, accident.
At least give us the most important, police and radar alert sound
Permitir avisar por alarma el exceso de velocidad sin necesidad que haya un radar cercano
I think that saying you are approaching speed cameras should be done automatically instead of only being said if approaching at a high speed. Waze says always when approaching red light cameras. The same should be done on speed cameras. I often notice also that when approaching at higher speeds that im not informed of cameras till I am already at the speed camera.

Good idea. Actually we need a custom sound notifications too. I mean possibility to switch some notifications to custom beeps. This may help in case of angry relatives who may call waze user as offender and hooligan because of voice notifications about police and radars.
I agree, but think this is a dup of this: https://waze.uservoice.com/forums/59223-client-how-can-we-improve-waze-on-your-phone-/suggestions/2898584-audible-warnings-by-type

Add a beep sound notification when approaching a speed camera and an intermittent beeps when near or over speed limit
I agree to
I agree too

I've love to be able to select which sorts of warnings I want to hear. I want to hear accidents, not so much car on shoulder ahead. Having an advanced setting for that would be awesome (and pretty easy to implement, I'd think)
Could we have an sonor alerte for cameras even if our speed is lower than the speed limit. Indeed, near cameras, driver reaction are always quite strange and it could be nice to anticipate this 1 or 2 miles before.
I agree, i'm missing this too !!!!!!!!!!!!
I think that having a sound ringing before radar or police could help us. That's better than looking to the phone to see what's on infront. That's would give a safty driving and a secure alert.
That's important for me
I hope you'll do that.
