i need to be able to turn my iphone upside down while using waze. i plug my phone into charger cable and set phone on my console, however the app won’t rotate.

I have the same issue and it's very dangerous!
I tried to lock my screen orientation on Android but Waze still rotate himself when driving and impossible to lock Waze orientation (no option).

Allow 180 degree rotation so apple iPhone 12 users can plug phone into charger while driving and have phone upside down in cup holder while map is right side up. I was able to do this on my iPhone 8, not sure if it’s a phone issue or app issue

It's easier to place my phone upside down in my cup carrier while charging, but your app doesn't automatically change the map to right-side-up like Google Maps does. Please make this an automatic thing!

Please bring back Screen Rotation. When I am in the car and I need to Charge my iPhone the Waze map is upside down, this Sucks. In my iPhone 6S was working fine but in iPhone 11 is Crap. I have not locked my Screen in iPhone Settings. I stopped using Google Maps & Apple Maps just because if this. Thanks!😊

Does anyone’s waze stay upright in portrait mode, even when you turn your phone upside down? I can’t charge my phone and use Waze at the same time now. Previously, I could plug in and turn upside down and the screen would rotate. I don’t have the screen lock on (iPhone 11). Any ideas?

Total deal breaker here. Waze really drains a phone’s battery which means it needs to be connected to a charging cable while using Waze!
Why would only the iPhone X (and XS) not support this?

Yes, my dashboard phone holder's grip requires landscape mode. hard to use Waze without it.

Same issue with a Galaxy S7 running Android 8.0.0.
I would love for this change to be made for the same reason (charger plugged in makes this a pain). It works fine on Google Maps (and many other apps), so I don't understand why Waze cannot do this.

Please complete this request Waze/Google. Should be a simple change to some code!

I'm using Waze on my motorcycle (phone mounted on the handlebar). It can easilly tilt on turns on a level that screen rotation kicks in given that I forgot to disable it on an OS-level.

Same issue with Android (HTC 10 in my case)

Sometimes you have to put the phone upside down in the car because the charger is on the bottom. However, the map does not orient to being held in that position (it did previously).
