As a cyclist, cycle event organiser and motorist, I am seeing an increase in accidents involving bikes and vehicles. In the past 6 weeks, there has been a recent fatality, a junior in ICU and someone actually run over by a 4x4 who didn't stop.

As an organiser, is it possible for me to submit events that are scheduled (which could include event start time, end time and gpx of the course) for inclusion on the mapping during the time of the event?

Events are all signed at the roadside, but with all the signage motorists are presented with it is easy to go a bit sign-blind.

As a motorist, I know it would be worth knowing if there was a higher than normal likelihood of lots of bikes ahead of me.

More and more cyclists are being run over. And Waze can help. Waze warns drivers about roadworks, accidents, traffic jams. why not do it with bicycles? Cyclists groups move, so they can't be pointed out by drivers
They must point out themselves. Cyclists select "bike mode" on the app , Waze identifies them as a group and warns drivers.

I was going to post a similar idea that can be useful to refine yours. Mine was more focused on roads and cyclists groups: To warn about a cyclist can be annoying if there are too many cyclists around. But Waze could detect that "there is a group" and warn about it.
