Time zone adjustment
Waze should adjust ETA to the local time when destination is a different time zone. When you leave Phoenix for southwest CO, for example, the ETA should be in mountain time, not AZ time. Currently, the ETA only adjusts when your phone automatically adjusts as you cross the time zone. It would be nice to know drive time is 6 hours, but ETA is 7 hours due to time change.
Hey,
Please note we're changing the status of this suggestion to Not right now, since we finalized our plans for 2023 and this idea won't be implemented this year.
We hope to have it included in our plans for later years and will keep you posted.
Thanks!

I constantly go back and forth between two timezones and wish that Waze would take this into account when showing me the ETA in the new timezone instead of showing me the current timezones ETA that I am leaving. It does update on the fly, but it should show up at the beginning if it knows I am crossing timezones.

My WAZE time is approximately 10 minutes ahead of Pacific Time.

Make it a simple switch: ETA set to destination time zone [on | off]

I use Waze on all of my trips all over the country. The most annoying issue is that it does not take time changes into account when determining arrival time.

You should take into account time zone changes when calculating time of arrival at a location. This would be really helpful.

Yikes! Just realized this was a problem while coordinating a Surprise welcome home party :-(
Expected the times worked like airplane tickets - arrival and departure times always refer to time zone of the location being referenced.

Made plans about route based on arrival time at destination in Waze (2pm, for a muse that closes at 5). However, after 30 mins of traffic, 30 mins at a stop, and crossing the time zone line, our arrival is now 4 pm - which likely means we won't get into the museum until 30 mins before they close. We would chosen a shorter route home if we had known, since the museum is out of our way.
I LOVE Waze and am a long time user/fan - can't believe this simple feature isn't implemented. (simple for Google...)
Should include an option to disable the feature for folks who skip across time lines a lot.

Agree. It is very frustrating. We're on a east to west and back epic road trip and cross time zones most days. It is not that difficult an issue and I'm surprised it is not embedded in the app.

It is completely absurd that the estimated time of arrival Waze gives is based on the time zone you are currently in as opposed to the one you are traveling to. When you cross over the line between time zones, you will find the ETA changes by an hour (or however much time separates the time zones). Who care what time it is in the place you are traveling from when you arrive at your destination? You care what time it will be at your destination when you arrive. Huge glitch!

I go from South Carolina to Mississippi and back a good bit. I would love to see the arrival time as the current time in the destination.

Absolute Waze should reflect the actual time of arrival in a different time zone. We drive from Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Lafayette, Indiana, Four hour drive, different time zone, confusing to figure out actual arrival time at host's house.

wow, seems like calculations should be based on UTC rather than local time!

This is kinda obvious that this should be included in the app

Definitely seems helpful.

I agree. Would seem to be a necessary feature for those crossing time zones regularly.

This would actually be really helpful for the new Planned Drives feature.

This would be a really great feature. Any idea when Waze will start working on it? Thanks.

I 100% agree! I have to make relatively short trips (less than 3hrs) in between time zones for work all the time and it is always a headache to figure out when I need to leave to make it to my meetings in time. Would be a really helpful tool for me and others.
