waze gives poor routes results
need to allow more personalisation in route. i should be able to effectively set my routes. waze gives poor routes. Waze focuses to much on saving time and driving through short cut roads. It needs to have a balance between motorway and standard roads. I prefer 3/4 motorway on longer distance journeys. Would be great to have option to mamage the preference and even manually editing routes by hand.

Show routes for lorry/big vehicles
Need to add flag on the direction or something that lorry can go through. Identify what vehicle the driver used. Some roads bigger vehicle cannot enter. Please!

Feature Suggestion for Planned Drives
It would be helpful if the Planned Drives screen in Waze displayed both the arrival time and the suggested departure time. Currently, users must enter the edit mode to see the departure time, which adds an unnecessary step. Including this information upfront would improve user experience and trip planning efficiency.

Alternative Routes Button: Force a Short Detour Option (Skip Next 1-2km of Active Route)

The alternative routes button should provide an additional option to force a short detour for the next 1-2 km from my current position, bypassing a portion of the active route, regardless of whether the detour is optimal, slower, or less preferred.My suggestion solves this problem:

Add navigation for on water and in air so you can use Waze when your on a boat and on a plane or helicopter and make it so can see planes.
If your on a plane you can get directions and see other flights and other apps can show you flights so Waze can do it to and on water will be super useful you see police boats and other stuff and make it switchable in the app so you can switch to land to water to air and maybe even add to google maps because Waze might merge with google maps because they own Waze.

Constantly display on the map the roads that are painted red in order to avoid traffic jams based on the driver's knowledge of the roads and
I would like to address something that really bothers me about the service, and I think I really miss seeing the traffic congestion and traffic jams on the map at the same time, especially while navigating to my destination on the alternative routes that are possible for me to take, so that at any given time I can calculate a route and navigate to try to avoid traffic jams and congestion. New color for current route on map that contrasts from the color of the other roads
The route color, especially on Apple Maps, that is light blue is almost the exact same color as all the other roads that are greyish blue. It’s hard to know which road to take sometimes because they are all the same color. I’d love if the route was a different color or stood out more.

I would like to suggest an important improvement to the app: adding a button at the beginning of each drive to select the type of vehicle – such as private car, truck, commercial vehicle, bus, etc.
As a truck driver, I often get directed to roads that are not suitable for heavy vehicles – including narrow streets, bridges with height restrictions, or roads where commercial vehicles are prohibited. These situations cause delays, frustration, and sometimes even safety hazards.
I believe this feature would greatly enhance the user experience and allow for more personalized and safe navigation.

We need a save option with maybe folder
Be great to have a save option with a folder to save directions and routes with editing, sometimes the same route might need to be taken without motorways, when the same route might need them.

Avoid Thomas Hill Rd, Madison, IN 47250
We have semi tractor trailer traffic that comes from North and East that is directed from the main highways to take Thomas Hill Rd. This is not a semi tractor trailer safe road. It is one lane, windy, and no guard rails with many sharp turns. They get stuck and have to be towed back out. This causes degradation of the road at a higher rate than normal erosion, it is very unsafe, uses county resources to remove them, etc. THey are trying to get to the power plant that is at the bottom of this hill. Option to stay off interstate but stay on highways
We need a new option to only avoid Interstates. Sometimes I want to travel a decent road but just not on the interstate itself. If I pick the current avoid interstates and freeways option it sends me on every backroad there is. I still want to travel highways and decent roads.

A new route suggestion
I would like to have a route suggestion that is "no traffic and no stop lights".
I'm driving a stick (manual car) and prefer to drive longer but to be "on the move" rather than get there faster sitting in traffic or stop lights.1 vote -

A feature that tells you the weather along your route would be a fantastic addition to Waze!

Monitor time at intersections to help determine routing choices.
I would like Waze to take in to account either the maximum time / average time a driver spends at a particular traffic light before continuing to drive. There are certain lights with really long timing that I avoid when Waze tries to route me that way. I don't think Waze considers long lights when routing. Typically would matter more for local routing than long distance routing.

Can you just make my usual route as a default route please?? Otherwise what’s the point to highlight that’s my usual route? Apart from the road closed situation I would only want to do my usual route every day. I don’t care about how bad the traffic is I just need the most simple route. Every time when I forgot to change to my usual route, it will direct me to somewhere I never known and complex route!! Such a pain
