Random route generator
I was thinking, something that would be cool is a random route generator. Punch in your destination and waze will give you random indirect options. Perfect for nice days to take a cruise. Just a thought

Pin Music Player
It would be nice if you could pin the music player so that way alerts doesn’t close it all the way out.

j'ai utilisé votre application pendant un mois en Italie
même si les trajets sont exacts les routes que vous nous faites emprunter sont pour le mois dangereuses et ne sont absolument pas recommandables
cela vient du fait que votre application cherche la route la plus courte en temps mais non pas la route la plus sure même si elle nécessite le faire quelques km de plus
j'ai fait l'expérience similaire avec google maps et c'est exactement les mêmes résultats tout aussi dangereux7 votes -

Google maps will show you routes with a similar ETA right on the map. It would be great if Waze showed this too.

Suggestion: Can we get an auto-reroute or a stalled traffic ahead alert?
Couple of years ago I was headed home from a 6 hr trip with a 98 yr old man riding shotgun. I was less than 20 miles from home and ran up on a traffic jam on the interstate that added another 3 hrs to my trip.......an auto-reroute would have helped a lot

Hi, I’ve noticed on several occasions that when I look at “other routes” with “avoid freeways” turned off, the app will suggest only routes that use freeways, even though some of these have longer time estimates and longer distances than some options that appear with “avoid freeways” turned on.
For example when navigating from Detroit to Royal Oak (with avoid freeways off) I am given three options involving highways, one 23 minutes and the other two 28 minutes. With avoid freeways turned on, I am…

Multi-day future planned routes + Weather condition integration & notifications coinciding with future route planning
It would be helpful if Waze allowed for planned routes that are regularly occurring to be set e.g. (Mon-Fri 8am-5pm). As well as a notification if there are any weather conditions that may affect that planned commute. If so, a general recommendation of what time to leave to allow for possible traffic build up in order to arrive on time. Essentially it would require weather integration, possibly AccuWeather.

prioritize search results in the direction of travel.
When traveling long road trips, it there some way to prioritize searches only in the direction of travel? In the current setup When looking for restaurants, or shopping, it never fails, Waze is constantly trying to send me backwards 5, 10 or 20 miles behind me to get to something, I would prefer to have it only look ahead, even if its 40 or 50 miles ahead of me along my travel route, and not have to turn around and go back 10 miles for a business. CarPlay directions box option to hide?
Firstly might be useful to a CarPlay area in drop down box above?
As you can have directions listed on your iPhone whilst using CarPlay / you might know the basic route it would be great to be able to optionally hide the Directions box as it takes so much map real estate. Or maybe move to top left. It always seems top right is where I am going....

Zoom - integrated car displays (Android Auto)
The zoom functionality is awful currently when using Android Auto with an in-car display. Google maps allows easy zooming using the rotatable knob (identical and in line with volume on a VW). Can this become a feature for Waze?? It's so distracting and dangerous trying to zoom when driving, a quick turn either way (like Google maps has) will be much better.

ezpass only roads (I-66 VA)
Waze should pop up a warning to tell users you MUST have an EZPass to use this road. This is a new issue that applies to I-66 in northern Virginia between I-495 (beltway) and DC. Effective Monday, December 4, 2017 this critical highway in the DC area used by many out of state folks, tourists and business folks alike, you must have an EZPass to get on this road. The tolls are dynamic during rush hour and have no price cap. Tolls can be $40 or more. Waze should warn drivers of this. Given the complexity of the tolling program …

Offline bike navigation (for iPhone)
I’m a pizza driver and when I don’t know what route I should take, I have to consult a navigation app. Thing is, there is no navigation app like yours... so if you could please add this feature, I’d download your app in a heartbeat.

roundabout symbol for right hand drive cars
I have noticed that the navigation / next turn symbol for round abouts is for left hand drive car roads.
so for us who drive from the right side of the car the roundabouts show a right turn going the wrong way around the round about for the third exit.
the map itself is correct, it goes the proper way around, but the next turn signal is wrong7 votes -
Report dangerous driving
Would be super Helpful having an icon to report DANGEROUS DRIVING on Brazilian maps. Too many drivers do not drive safely and overpass de speed limit letting others drivers in danger.
Would be SUPER if Waze could add this service for thee good of all carefully drivers.

search and set destination by grid reference
In the UK, websites often give a Grid Reference as opposed to a Postcode for the location of an event, especially in the countryside where a postcode covers a large area. The grid reference is therefore a more accurate way of indicating the destination.

Inshore boat hazard and police icons
Please add a boat police icon for inshore "water waze." Many times we are detained and searched on the way into the ramps or home and it would be nice to know what areas are being observed and delayed by police and game wardens. I was thinking of a sinking boat for hazards and a blue light boat for law enforcement.

Sinalização para "área perigosa" / Dangerous área alert
Portuguese: Seria importante ter um sinal de alerta para áreas perigosas ou de alta criminalidade aqui no Brasil. Realmente é um recurso muito importante.
English: It would be really important to have an alert such as "dangerous area ", for areas with hogh number of criminality, here in Brazil.
