  1. Add option to avoid mountain passes

    Sometimes, specially by bad weather or at night, a mountain pass can be really scary. I would prefer to do more KMs to catch a Tunnel, for example.
    It would be great to have the option to avoid them or at least a warning.
    Example in Switzerland: to use vereina tunnel instead of fluela pass (also in Sommer)

  2. Sectional speed measurement warning to add info on actual speed limit applicable

    So at least in my country (Poland) we have these "sectional speed measurement" areas where instead of on point speed measurement, the average speed is measured along say 10km. The warning currently only warns about approaching the sectional speed measurement but it does not tell you or show the actual applicable speed limit which can be different on different roads and is not unified across the country.

    I’m sure Waze used to remain visible over other apps. Google suggests Settings -> General -> Display over other apps but option’s not there?

    I’m writing to complain about a highly annoying attribute of the Waze App.
    Waze will often show alternate routes between two locations, and I will most likely choose the recommended, most efficient route. On occasion, I will select one of the alternate routes.
    Several times recently, after choosing one of the alternates and clicking “Go now,” the App has been reverting to the recommended route without me knowing it. After departing on what I thought was my chosen route, I noticed that my route had changed to the recommended route.

    O mapa virar 180° quando utilizado. Hoje ele só vira o mapa na tela em 90°. Assim posso utilizar o Waze enquanto carrego a bateria do celular

  12. Bring back confirmation for search results

    As of a few updates ago, waze now seems to take the "I'm feeling lucky" approach to navigation. At least with Android auto, with voice input, waze will automatically select what it thinks is the correct search result without showing the user the result (name and adress) and just immediately begins navigation.
    The problem is that it is often wrong, such that I cannot trust any voice navigation commands at this point. I'd rather have back the original method of displaying the search results and having to tap the screen to select the desired one - it would be quicker…

  13. "Along the Way"

    It'd be great to have some sort of functionality to where if I'm going from point A to point B, but I want to stop "along the way" at, say, a Taco Bell, you could search for these interim destinations, see how many there are, and which ones are more out of the way than others. Oftentimes, if you search now, it stops your route and maybe even sends you backwards. If I could know that if I wait 20 more miles, there's a Taco Bell 0.2 miles out of the way, I might rather do this than turning around…

  14. Warn a user if he/she cannot drive exactly to a target because of traffic limitations

    If a target is located on a walking trail or a street not allowed for private cars, warn a user on the start of navigation and again when approaching the target that he/she is led to the nearest available point because of the above obstacle.

  15. Introduce a new routing option for CO2 reduction

    Provide a new navigation option that reduces the CO2 emissions in a typical combustion engine vehicle. Possibly balancing speed vs. distance this can be optimized.
    Imagine the impact on the environment if millions of vehicles used this navigation option!

  16. Pouivoir inverseer le trajet

    Fonction pour inverser le trajet :

    MAPS propose une fonctionnalité intéressante que ne propose pas WAZE, je veux parler de l'inversion de trajet.

    Quand on planifie un trajet, on ne peut pas modifier le lieu de départ par rapport à celui d'arrivée.

    Waze propose systématiquement comme lieu de départ l'endroit où l'on se trouve.

    Exemple : je veux calculer depuis chez moi à quelle heure partir d'un endroit X vers mon domicile. Avec Waze je ne peux pas.

    Avec MAPS, je clique sur les flèches tête bêche à droite de la destination et les destinations s'inversent.

  17. Avoid construction roads

    I drove in a road with construction and got a nail in my tire :( I want to avoid that road until construction ends. I suggest Waze adds “Avoid construction on roads” along with their list of things to avoid so no one gets into tire issues! Hopefully can easily be integrated :)

  19. Mais adaptado ao consumo elétrico

    Não existe ainda a possibilidade de colocar carro híbrido. Da mesma forma que têm atenção ao percurso inclinado quando realizado com a bicicleta, o mesmo deveria ser priorizado para veículos elétricos, tendo em conta que carregam nos declives e as subidas faz com que percam bastante autonomia. É uma melhoria bastante importante!

Para mí, sobre todo, es muy útil e importante el poder indicar al momento los cambios de límite de velocidad de la carretera. Hace tiempo que se podía hacer directamente mientras se conducía.
