Verbal Speed Camera Alerts should be on constantly or make a button
In the UK, people loved Waze, simply due to its Verbal Alerting behaviour for everything. But a few months ago, speed camera verbal alerts were turned off if you're under the speed limit.
Not only is this dangerous but it could cause speeding tickets. Let me explain with this is problematic:
1) firstly, the main priority should be to get out eyes off the screens and on the road. It's self explanatory, if I'm constantly having to look fir the speed camera sign on the app and my eyes are off the road then this is a disaster waiting to happen at 70mph. Please note, not everyone needs to speed to be made aware of a camera, we should just be alerted.
2) the new feature is that you need to be above the speed limit to be warned/alerted of a camera, but in the UK we have smart motorways (which aren't smart but are a pain). On these motorways we have speed limits that change according to the traffic and can be 20mph now and 60mph the next hour, the cameras here are also set to change their flashing threshold per the updates, but for Waze, how does it make sense that I will only be alerted if I'm going 61mph when the live speed limit change is 30mph.
3) what if I'm under the speed limit 500meters behind the camera and then don't see the icon on screen or the camera as I get closer and get flashed doing 24 in a 20 zone and since the last year UK has changed from average 30 zones to 20 and this makes going over 20mph very easy by accident.
Please fix this issue OR LET US CHOOSE AND GIVE US A BUTTON.
If you don't want us having constant speed camera alerts, whether below, at or above the speed limit, then please AT LEAST GIVE US THE OPTION.
Just make a toggle button and everyone will be happy.
This is a big talk in the UK car scene right now and unsure why more tickets have not yet been made.

WME PH Only show at higher zoom
Feedback on new icons for Place Hazards (Cameras, Railroad crossings). (from another editor's posting in Waze Discuss)
In WME: hazards show on the map all the way out to Zoom 14! at this Zoom, even the railroad segment isn't rendered - does the hazard need to render this far?
In areas like NYC, WME performance is already poor (for making edits, panning and zooming in).
Now these icons also render out to Zoom Level 14, covering multiple streets, nodes, etc.
Not too long ago we had an update for UR and PUR pills to group up (cluster) to reduce clutter, but now these new Hazard icons are just making it worse.

differentiate between police control reports that are traffic-related and those that are not
The idea is to differentiate between police control reports that are traffic-related and those that are not. Currently, the app only allows the reporting of police controls without distinguishing between these two aspects. The specific proposal is for the app to allow users to report controls that are strictly traffic-related and, separately, another option to report police controls of a general nature that are not related to traffic.

Floating window on exit
Would like Waze to implement "floating" window on exit. Or atleast have pop up notification of the next direction, like Google maps has. When I close out Waze, I have no way of knowing the next step unless I reopen app.

Speed Limit Alerts for Commercial Vehicles
In the UK speed limits for public light goods (commercial) vehicles are different, so for example on national speed-limit A-roads, cars are allowed to do 60mph, but commercial vehicles like panel vans, can only do 50mph. It’s to do with the increased payloads they potentially carry.
This differential isn’t catered for in the app, so when it’s set to alert when the speed limit is reached, a van driver in many cases is actually 10mph over which is enough of a margin to receive an endorsement in the UK.
The speed differences for light goods vehicles are however standardised: they can do 70mph the same as cars on motorways; 60mph instead of 70mph on dual-carriage ways; and 50mph instead of 60mph on single carriage national speed limit A roads. Given this standardisation, it shouldn't be too difficult for the devs to provide what would be an incredibly useful setting for commercial vehicle drivers who I’m sure make up a good swathe of the community given how much time they spend driving. Thanks.

Minions Theme Breaks Landscape Mode on Android.
When I switched to the minion theme, the map would no longer switch to landscape mode on my Android phone. I deleted all data and restarted waze, and landscape worked again. I loaded the minion theme again and Landscape broke again.

Cars with caravans
Could you do routes for cars and caravans. This should take into account the extra width and the difficulty in reversing along country lanes if you meet an oncoming vehicle

The speed trap alert sound should consider the speed limit of the trap
The speed trap alert sound should consider the speed limit of the camera and not the current road the driver is on.
In situations where the driver is on a fast road and is about to exit to a slower road with a speed trap, the driver does not receive the sound alert as they should if they were already on the road with the camera.
For example: A driver is driving at 90 km/h on a road with a speed limit of 100 km/h, following a route already indicated on Waze. The driver is going to take an exit to a slower road with a speed limit of 80 km/h. On the slower road, there is a speed camera (80 km/h) less than 400 meters from the exit the driver will take. Approximately 500 meters before the speed camera, still on the fast road, the driver receives a blue pop-up for the speed camera but does not receive the sound alert indicating that they need to reduce their speed because the alert is considering the current road's speed limit and not the speed limit of the road where the camera is located.

Bridge out
I was driving in an area where a bridge was out and under construction. The construction was showing up but there was no way to tell it that it was closed and for the navigation to use a different route. It kept trying to send me over the bridge. I tried several different ways to get the closure to show up.

Alert police on both sides of the road
Currently, waze only provides an alert when approaching police on the same side of the road. In Australia, police will check vehicle speed in both directions. Waze should have the option to provide alerts when approaching police on the opposite side of the road.

Is there a way to get Waze to auto sleep after use on iOS with Car Play? I use Waze in my car, get out of my car, and it’s still running in the background and actively tracking my location.

Better navigation for electric vehicles
I think Waze can make a very big impact by greatly improving navigation for electric vehicles.
Given that the charging structure in Europe is now largely very good, scheduling the various charging points for a long trip is no longer necessary in advance.
A nice solution would be to show on the screen the next 3 (fast) charging stations, along with the total number of charging stations (red) that are there, how many are still available (green) and how many are out of service/in maintenance (gray) (like A better route planner does).
In addition, also the percentage of charge with which you arrive at the charging station, allowing you to choose whether you want to charge safely and arrive with a higher charge or whether you want to arrive with a lower percentage and thus achieve a higher charging rate.I think Waze can make a very big impact by greatly improving navigation for electric vehicles.
