Speed trap takes up too much screen space
On iOS (and maybe other phones), the speed trap notifications take up over 1/4 of the screen. When driving through London where there's hundreds of speed traps, the notification often hides the next turning (particularly annoying when the roads in London are so close together)!
I know it's possible to turn off speed trap notifications, but can you reduce the size of this screen so I can still see the turnings?

Notify when an accident is reported on my current route how far away it is
When an accident is reported on my current route, report how far I currently am from that accident so I can decide if I want to take an alternate route or if I am far enough away to decide if that accident has been cleared. Is there an option to report an accident has been cleared? That would be cool too . . .

Permanently save the metric vs imperial units
After every app update, the units in my Waze client get reset to imperial/miles. I'm in Canada and we use metric. I have to change the setting every time!

Some kind of API for updating gas prices automatically
Some (smaller) gas stations in Europe do publish their gas prices online. It would be nice if we can either push these prices to the Waze database or have Waze pull them like every day or so.
I would be more than happy to write some code to convert the provided data into a suitable format. For example: Oeral Lommel (Luikersteenweg 313, 3920 Lommel, Belgium) has the current prices published on their website, see:
http://www.oeral.be/index.php?nav=stations&stationid=51
I would be more than happy to write a small application that would convert these and push them to the appropriate landmark.
Currently there's no API for this and ofcourse I would be missing out on a lot of points, but it's worth it if it saves other Waze users and myself some money. Some (smaller) gas stations in Europe do publish their gas prices online.

Let's try a partnership with www.wikimapia.org to use their sattelite images, which is much better than Bing, at some countries?
In Brazil, and maybe another countries, Bing Aerial images are low res and we barely can see where the city is located, which makes impossible to fix the map reports. As it looks like that Wikimapia works as Waze, collaboratively, It would be nice if we could share/use that images to help fixing the map reports.

Problem with new version. Please, please, please...
I own an AppRadio car stereo, which worked perfectly with Waze on my iPhone until last week when I updated Waze (now, two versions ago). Now, some Navigation lists won't not scroll on my AppRadio touchscreen (ie. I can no longer touch-&-drag 1) my Recents list on the main "Navigate" screen, 2) my "Favorites" list, and 3) any "Search results" list after I pick a Category. All other touch functions work (as far as I know), and I am still able to touch-&-drag through the "Categories" list itself (for some reason).
Please, please, please revert to the old scrolling code in the next version/update! If you cannot, please provide an app option where I can downgrade to that older version of Waze for the iPhone, if possible.
PS - I joined 1 mo ago, am a big fan, have been spreading the word, and am already a Wazer Knight bc of all the holiday and work driving, as well as reporting, I have been doing from my AppRadio (its so easy and fun!). Thanks so much.

Repetitive Alerts Should be Summarized
Recently, I was using Waze on Northbound I-280 in the San Francisco Bay Area. The traffic was pretty bad. Waze is pretty popular around here and folks were reporting the bad traffic. So much so in fact that you could barely see the map. It seems to me that if you have more than two or three people basically reporting the same thing (in this case stopped traffic) you can simply summarize and say "multiple bad traffic reports" or some such. The current extremely cluttered screen is basically useless.
In this case, I was using an iPhone, but I think this would occur on any platform.

Give option to specifically show nearest "pac-man" roads, if we want to do extra munching and not have to search for them.
There are times when I might have a few extra minutes, not in a rush, and wouldn't mind doing some munching for extra points (and to help your maps). Would be cool if there was an option for something like that (e.g. "show nearby munching roads" or "show munching roads in red/highlight them"). Thanks for reading!

Traffic Light Duration/Issue Reporting
On my way to and from work, I know of two specific traffic lights that are completely misaligned against the volume of traffic. For instance, at one intersection, if the left Hand arrow appeared for 20 seconds as opposed to 5 seconds, my life would be a lot easier (not to mention the efficiency in traffic flow, right near the Lincoln Tunnel going into new York city).
So how to report this? And to whom? How about a contract you cut with the state department of transportation (or federal, or county, or city) whereby Waze is compensated for providing traffic improvements to those that can fix them. Think also potholes, illegible signage, recommendations, etc.
I'd gladly report my recommendations via Waze. You'd get compensated, I would be happy, Waze would get good press for being green and consumer focused. You can even devise an algorithm for calculating the cost savings to a community for each report.

Please make next steps quick/easy to see
In heavy traffic, one often has to know about upcoming turns well in advance to get into the correct lane. But to see upcoming nav steps in Waze requires clicking to the menu, then swiping to the second page, then clicking Nav List -- way too many steps. Please make it easy to see the next step or whole list from the main screen. I suggest enabling a jump to the nav list if the user clicks on the name of the next street. (I intuitively try this; may have been default functionality on a prior GPS.)

More icons for existing report types
Currently many of the icons displayed on the map are shared across different reports, this means the driver must tap them to find out what they are (if they do not pop up automatically) eg. "Car on shoulder" and "object on road". This is frustrating when some warnings are fairly insignificant and others more serious, like my previous example. Additional icons would allow drivers to understand the reports at a glance with no extra taps required when issuing a report.

Interval Tone for Speeding
Pls provide a setting for interval tone warnings for a selected speed threshold - ex. if/when I go >/= 70mph give a tone every 5/10/15/30 seconds. Doesn't have to be anything fancy - a simple beep or boop will do.

REVERSIBLE ROADS
There are some countries (At least in Santiago, Chile and Mexico City where I live) that due to a high traffic times, some of the main streets gets REVERSIBLE, meaning that from certain times of the day the regular way of the street is REVERSED so the traffic can be more fluid. I would like to propose the facility of making REVERSIBLE roads

Vehicle "attaches" to road
I have noticed that the vehicle icon "attaches" to the road on the map. There are a couple of issues with this. When I am in an unmapped area, such as in a parking lot, the vehicle tends to jump back and forth between its actual location and the nearest road. Also, the exit I take on my morning commute has not updated yet, so WAZE tells me to take the exit prior to it. Even though I do not take that exit the vehicle icon does and shows me driving on the service road rather than on the interstate.
