Large Vehicle type
As a wheelchair user I have an XL Base Citroen Van. Currently Waze will suggest routes unsuitable to save time on en-route. Recently I got stuck in the snow following a route change that I trusted but took me on back residential roads. There is an allowance for motorcycle, taxi or private car. Selecting “large vehicle” would exclude low bridges and keep on main roads regardless of time saved. It is a matter of safety.

One-Tap Map Interaction for Lane-Specific Hazard Reporting
Description:
Core Focus:
While lane guidance and hazard reporting exist, specifying the exact lane requires navigating multiple menu taps while driving. This proposal introduces a direct map gesture (One-Tap UI) to make lane-specific reporting instant and seamless.Key Mechanics:
Instead of opening multi-level menus, users tap relative to the highlighted route line on the map:Tap left of the route line: Direct-reports to the left lane/shoulder.
Tap on the route line: Direct-reports to central lanes.
Tap right of the route line: Direct-reports to the right lane/shoulder.
Key Benefits:
Reduced Driver Distraction: Cuts reporting down from multiple menu taps to a single intuitive gesture.
Increased Data Accuracy: Drivers are much more likely to specify the exact lane if it only takes one quick tap on the map.

Let me turn off the popups out of app while using carplay
The constant popups when i choose to leave the app in carplay for any reason are infuriating and makes using the car interface rather than picking up my phone less safe.
My reasoning for this is simple, i KNOW that my turn is coming up in half a mile, let me take not even 3 seconds to call my brother and my eyes are back on the road, that should be how it works but it simply isnt, every millisecond after you clear the popup it simply comes up with another and then i have to clear that… so on so forth endlessly. The popups when im trying to navigate to any other app 10x the time it takes compared to simply picking up my phone and doing that it that way, denying the theoretical safety bonus of carplay through sheer failure of design when it comes to these popups.
I want to turn them off so i never have to fight them again and i can go back to spending less than 3 seconds to do a simple task rather than fighting with a navigation app just to figure out what im doing for dinner.

Automatic rerouting requires one to break the law in many places to cancel it and should be optional
The app automatically rerouting to a different shorter route is incredibly annoying and dangerous. It defaults to choosing the new route if you don't touch the button to reject the new route. Considering the fact that operating a phone while driving is ILLEGAL in many places, including my home province, it is ridiculous that this feature cannot be disabled. This is the one thing that prevents me and many other people from using Waze more regularly. There are a lot of safety related reasons why one would choose a longer route (weather, road conditions, etc.) and yet Waze doesn't care and will always reroute to a route that you specifically chose not to take.

Please fix expressway sign/image -
When traveling from south phoenix to north phoenix on the 202 interstate there are two other interstates within a few miles of each other that you can take depending on traffic. One of them is interstate 101 and the other is interstate 10. However the last number has been cutoff in the app so regardless of which interstate Waze suggests you take they both look like interstate 10 in the app. Please make the Arizona state sign bigger or the numbers smaller so you can tell which interstate you should travel on.

### Feature Request: Personalized Cost per Minute for Route Selection I would like to suggest a feature that would make Waze's route select
Feature Request: Personalized Cost per Minute for Route Selection
I would like to suggest a feature that would make Waze's route selection much more useful.
Currently, Waze will normally recommend the faster route, even when the time difference is very small and the faster route includes a significant toll.
For example:
- Route A: 42 minutes, no toll
- Route B: 40 minutes, $6 toll
Waze will normally choose Route B because it is faster, even though I am paying $6 just to save 2 minutes.
I don't want to completely disable toll roads, because sometimes paying a toll is absolutely worth it when the time savings are significant.
My suggestion
Add a setting that allows the user to define how much they are willing to pay for each minute saved.
For example:
"I am willing to pay up to $0.50 for each minute saved."
Waze could then use this preference when deciding which route to recommend.
For example:
- Toll: $6
- Time saved: 2 minutes
- Cost per minute saved: $3/minute
Since my limit is $0.50/minute, Waze would recommend the free route.
But if the same $6 toll saves me 20 minutes:
- $6 ÷ 20 minutes = $0.30/minute
Waze would recommend the toll road.
Include fuel costs as well
The calculation could also take fuel consumption and fuel costs into account.
Waze could compare the total additional cost of a route:
Toll + additional fuel cost
against:
Time saved × user's value per minute
This would allow Waze to choose the route that provides the best overall value.
For example:
- Route A: 45 minutes, $0 toll, $3 fuel
- Route B: 35 minutes, $6 toll, $2 fuel
Route B costs an additional $5 but saves 10 minutes.
If the user has set their maximum value at $0.50 per minute, 10 minutes are worth $5, so Waze would know that the faster route is right at the user's limit.
Suggested setting
Maximum amount I am willing to pay per minute saved:
- $0 – Never pay for time savings
- $0.25/minute
- $0.50/minute
- $1/minute
- $2/minute
- Custom amount
This would be much more flexible than simply choosing "Avoid toll roads."
It would allow Waze to understand that I am willing to pay for saving time, but only when the time savings justify the additional cost.
This would prevent situations where I pay several dollars simply to save 2 or 3 minutes, while still allowing me to use toll roads when they provide substantial time savings.

Traffic Light Timing
Traffic Light Timing
Add a timer showing how much time remains until the green light turns off, as well as how much longer to wait until the next green light.
This information can be calculated relatively easily based on user statistics. For example, if a car passes through a road intersection where there is a traffic light, we can assume that the light is green. If the car stops, we can assume that the light is red, and so on.
Under the right conditions, it may be possible to achieve an accuracy of approximately one second for each traffic light.
